The daughter of Fortify closed with formidable strength to deny Zamba Grande by a head on the wire after the latter looked to have the race well in hand. Jockey Francisco Lavigna proved decisive in the thrilling outcome of Wednesday's featured event at San Isidro

Zamba Grande (Grand Reward, 55.5 kg) had done almost everything right. She broke sharply, set her own tempo, and turned for home with a advantage that seemed plenty to justify her status as the favorite. She was only missing the final blow. As the Clásico Tristeza Cat (1200 m, dirt) looked headed toward a wire-to-wire procession, Eneta(Fortify, 57 kg) emerged from off the pace with a lethal late rush to snatch the victory by a head, delivering a thrilling climax to Wednesday's modest card at San Isidro.

The favorite, ridden by Wilson Moreyra, took charge right from the break, setting splits of 22.74 and 45.81 seconds. It was no wild runaway: she navigated the turn in command, balanced up in the stretch, and held a two-length cushion over her pursuers. Even inside the final 300 meters, all indications pointed to her taking home top honors without undue drama.

Eneta, however, had other plans. Positioned fourth for much of the run without getting involved in the early duel, she began finding her top gear over the final 150 meters. Francisco Jesús Lavigna had bided his time intelligently, and when he asked for the decisive effort, the dark bay responded with a burst of acceleration that completely altered the outcome. Every stride shaved down the margin until, right on the wire, she managed to thrust her head in front.

For Zamba Grande, it left a bitter pill to swallow after having dictated terms nearly from coast to coast. Four lengths back in third arrived Lady Macallan (Mask, 52 kg), while Marquise Zenda (Il Mercato, 54 kg), Beauty Check(Safety Check, 55 kg), and Ana de Armas (Angiolo, 53 kg) rounded out the order of finish, well below expectations for some among them. The clock stopped at 1:11.30 in a contest that saved its finest thrill for the final strides.

The victory rewarded Eneta’s sharp current form, coming off a runner-up effort behind Full Odalis (Full Mast) in the Handicap Cipayo and having previously displayed her talent at La Plata when capturing the Especial Día de la Bandera. She now elevates her record to 6 wins from 21 starts, adding another stakes score to a campaign marked by occasional inconsistency but undeniably high peaks of quality.

Defending the colors of Stud San Jupe, Eneta is trained by Héctor Sandro Rodríguez and was bred by Haras Santa Inés. She is a daughter of Fortify (Distorted Humor) out of Encomiada (Southern Halo), a pedigree that links directly to one of the premier maternal families in the region.

Encomiada also produced Endler (Cima de Triomphe), a 10-time winner across Palermo, San Isidro, and La Plata, including multiple stakes events. Branching out from the same line are prominent names such as Elogiado(Archipenko), Estricta (Roy), and Fox Dancer (Lode), another stellar anchor of Family 6-f.

It is a bloodline that has produced champions across generations and continues to supply ample reasons for headlines. This time, it was thanks to Eneta, who turned an ordinary Wednesday afternoon into a finish to remember.
