With a great ride by Francisco Lavigna, the Stud Rodolfo Pedro mare claimed victory in the Clásico General Francisco B. Bosch (G3), contested over the 1,000-meter straight at Palermo

Jockey Francisco Lavigna’s celebration after crossing the wire in front was well-deserved in Sunday's Clásico General Francisco B. Bosch (G3 - 1,000m, fast dirt) at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.
Beyond the significance of the victory, the rider's gesture perfectly summed up two things: first, the beautiful race he had just won; and second, a tribute to a mare that always gives her all, showing health, class, and ability.
The daughter of Hi Happy rallied from far back to cut short the bid of the favorite Lissette Island (Lizard Island) in the closing stages. Only a few meters earlier, the favorite had managed to overtake the brave pacesetter La Mykonos (Mask), leading her supporters to believe another top-level photo finish was secured.
However, the impressive comeback by Enjoy Dancing ruined those plans, allowing the Stud Rodolfo Pedro bay to reach her seventh career victory in 29 starts, while still only 4 years old.
The Edgardo Martucci trainee always runs from off the pace, though this time she settled further back than usual, partly due to the blistering speed set by La Mykonos, who posted lightning-fast fractions of 22s42/100 and 44s96/100.
Lissette Island pursued her throughout, making a significant effort, while Enjoy Dancing and Lavigna waited and waited for the precise moment. That moment arrived at the 350-meter mark, when the winner began her eye-catching rally.
At the wire, the margin was 1/2 length between the winner and Lissette Island, with La Mykonos another 1 1/2 lengthsback in third, all clocked in a final time of 58s22/100 on a track that continues to play very heavy. The rest of the field was non-existent.
Bred by Haras Vacación and a half-sister to stakes winner Eliceo (Remote)—who also raced for Rodolfo Pedro—this marked the fourth stakes victory for Enjoy Dancing. Her previous credits include the Clásico Olavarría (G3), the Clásico Islas Malvinas (L), and the Handicap Fitzacarraldo.
