SAN PABLO, Brasil (Special for Turf Diario).-With a festive atmosphere and a packed clubhouse at the Jockey Club de São Paulo, the Brazilian racing community gathered Saturday night for a new edition of the Troféu Mossoró ceremony, honoring the best of the season in Brazilian racing.
Hosted by journalist Jair Balla, the event took place just hours after an exciting day of Copa dos Criadores racing, adding to the energy of breeders, owners, professionals, and fans who enjoyed an evening filled with emotion, tributes, and celebration.
The star of the night was Ethereum, who not only earned the title of Horse of the Year, but was also crowned Champion 3-Year-Old Filly, capping an exceptional campaign. The daughter of Courtier, bred by Carlos dos Santosand racing for Stud New Bridge (though she carried her breeder’s silks when winning the G1 Grande Prêmio Brasil), had already been recognized last season as Champion 2-Year-Old Filly, giving her a remarkable three consecutive Troféu Mossoró honors.
Among the most emotional moments of the evening were the tributes to Luiz Fernando Cirne Lima and Ulisses Lignon Carneiro, both honored as Racing Personalities of the Year for their enduring contributions to the sport.
