The daughter of In the Dark is in top form and will look to extend her strong run against inconsistent rivals in the main event of an otherwise modest card

Back-to-back turf racing continues at San Isidro, where Thursday brings another technically modest card—an all-too-common theme during weekday programs. The main event will be the Handicap Zanoni over 1200 meters on dirt.
On paper, the race looks wide open, but Fantastic Woman will try to make the most of her sharp recent form and give the boys something to worry about. The daughter of In the Dark comes in with 56.5 kilos and plenty of momentum.
After finishing second in the Handicap Ante Diem and third in the Handicap Guatán, she broke through in the Handicap Jardy, winning convincingly over Aiyanna (Santillano) and Candy Gloriosa (Vástago Salvaje) under nearly identical conditions to what she’ll face this time.
Representing Stud El Pasteurense, she’ll welcome the return of Atrevido Electric (Electricity), who hasn’t raced in 157 days but carries the top weight of 60.5 kilos. Bred, owned, and trained by Ariel Lusardi, he’s coming off a pair of dull efforts but had previously taken the Clásico Pablo G. Falero, Clásico Adolfo P. Giovanetti, and Handicap Potrillazo. A true 1200-meter specialist, he prefers to run free on the lead and set a stiff pace.
Rosario-based Bartlemy (Incurable Optimist, 58.5) caused a stir with a decisive win in the Handicap Larrea, but failed to fire next out at Palermo in the Handicap Practicante behind Twitch Hurricane (Hurricane Cat). Which version of him will show up?
Off a strong allowance win, Sello Viejo (Manipulator, 54) steps into stakes company with a light impost, while featherweight Don Cacao (Treasure Beach, 50) will look to surprise a field that appears on paper to be a bit too tough.
Now 10 years old, Sally Ray (Russian Ray, 51) keeps chasing another victory. Peso Argentino (Cosmic Trigger, 55.5), Bajo El Cielo (True Cause, 52.5), Don Master (Full Mast, 50), and Starglade (Montelu, 54) round out the lineup.
