Kathynmarissa and Ways and Means, victorious on Saturday at Keeneland, head a catalogue that will feature ten Breeders' Cup participants. The event will also feature broodmares boasting major recent pedigree updates, high-profile young prospects, and stallion shares

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Special for Turf Diario).— As the echoes of the Breeders' Cup at Keeneland fade,Lexington once again takes center stage in the Thoroughbred world. This Monday, starting at 2:00 PM, Fasig-Tiptonwill host its prestigious November Sale, a premier single-session auction offering an elite mix of broodmares, weanlings, and high-profile racing or stallion prospects.

Two names stand out above all others: Kathynmarissa (American Pharoah), victorious in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1), and Ways and Means (Practical Joke), who put on a dominant display in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1). Just two days after their marquee victories, both will enter the sales ring as Hip 208 and Hip 161, consigned by Gainesway and ELiTE Sales, respectively.

In total, ten Breeders' Cup entrants are slated to pass through the ring. Among them is Cy Fair (Not This Time),winner of the 2025 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1) and runner-up on Saturday behind Bacio in the Turf Sprint (G1). Taylor Made will offer her as a racing or broodmare prospect, alongside Grade 1 stars such as Ag Bullet(Twirling Candy), Concrete Rose (Twirling Candy), and Scottish Lassie (McKinzie).

Gainesway will also offer Shisospicy (Mitole), winner of the 2025 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1), as well as R Disaster (Awesome Slew), who contested the Filly & Mare Sprint (G1). The catalogue thus presents a rare opportunity to acquire world-class athletes directly off the track.

Fresh pedigree updates have added further intrigue. Philly's Finest (Flameaway), a half-sister to Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner Further Ado (Gun Runner), will be consigned by Lane's End as Hip 132, carrying a foal by Sierra Leone (Gun Runner). Wesawtaylorinparis (Nyquist), a full sister to Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1)heroine Emphatic, also gained timely black-type momentum; she will be offered as Hip 212 by Taylor Made.

The dam line of Englishman (Maxfield), who finished second in the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1), will also be featured: Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services consigns his dam, In It for the Gold (Speightstown), in foal to Into Mischief (Harlan's Holiday), alongside a half-brother by Tiz the Law (Constitution). Leading sire Into Mischiefcomes fresh off a stellar weekend, siring two Breeders' Cup winners: Classic (G1) hero Sovereignty and Juvenile (G1) winner Hughes.

Another major attraction will be the offering of stallion shares. Darley will offer lifetime breeding rights in Sovereignty, Knightsbridge (Nyquist), and Nyquist (Uncle Mo)—three stallions with massive commercial appeal.Interest in Sovereignty and Knightsbridge soared following their respective first- and third-place finishes in the Classic.

Market expectations run high. In 2025, the auction sold 144 head for $105,327,000, including private sales, posting an average of $731,438 and a median of $322,500. Streak of Luck (Old Fashioned), dam of champion Ted Noffey (Into Mischief), topped last year's edition at $6.2 million, while Shisospicy was the highest-priced racing or broodmare prospect at $5.2 million.

“Top-quality stock remains in tremendous demand, and sellers are being rewarded handsomely,” noted Allaire Ryan of Lane's End, confident that the strong commercial momentum will carry forward. Mark Taylor of Taylor Madeechoed that sentiment, expecting the upper tier of the market to be particularly robust.

Bradley Weisbord of ELiTE attributed the optimism to momentum built across yearling sales and the world-class action at Keeneland: “The industry arrives with incredible wind in its sails. The Breeders' Cup delivered sensational performances, which creates a terrific environment for business.”

The auction opens with 36 scratchings reported through Sunday evening. Yet the lineup remains stacked with quality. The immediate thrill at Fasig-Tipton will be discovering just how much the market is willing to bid for two newly crowned Breeders' Cup champions while their victories are still fresh in memory.
