In a remarkable performance, the son of Forge drew away to score by three lengths over the seasoned veteran Paris Tech

Folke Dancer, widely regarded as the top sprinter at the Dolores provincial circuit, successfully imported his sharp current form to the local track on Thursday. Carrying the top weight of 132 pounds, the son of the highly productive sire Forge emerged as the standout performer of the card by capturing the Especial Campesino going 1,000 meters on the main track.

With Francisco Arreguy in the irons, the Stud Para Mí Sin Soda representative was engaged early, keeping pressure on the fleet-footed pacesetter Siglo Veinte (Sebi Halo) through the opening stages. As the field hit the midpoint of the turn,Arreguy expertly guided Folke Dancer along the rail to take command.

Once in the homestretch, the winner skimmed the fence and quickly put daylight between himself and the chasers. The closing stages proved academic as Folke Dancer cruised across the wire with a comfortable three-length advantage over the durable 9-year-old veteran París Tech (Luhuk). Cántaros Song (Alcindor) filled the trifecta spot a head further back, finishing three-quarters of a length clear of Señor Moon (E Dubai). The final time for the five furlongs was a sharp :59.44over the fast dirt.

Trained by Francisco Caporale, Folke Dancer improved his career line to eight victories from 26 lifetime starts, pushing his total earnings past the 28,000,000 pesos mark.

Bred by the prestigious Haras La Providencia, Folke Dancer is out of the Seeking Daylight mare Follow, making her a half-sister to Argentine Horse of the Year and champion Freddy (Roy). This pedigree also makes the winner a full-brother to stakes winner Forgging, whose victories include the Clásico Ensayo (G3) and Clásico Tresiete (L).
