LA PLATA.— Following a series of solid placed efforts, Let Me Dance finally broke through for her first victory at the stakes level. It came this Thursday at the local oval, where she captured the Especial Jockey Club de Mar del Plata(1,200 m), contested over a wet main track as the feature event of the card.

With Daniel Arias aboard and carrying a moderate 55-kilogram assignment, the daughter of Le Blues made quick work of the field in the stretch after tracking the pace from off the leaders, as favorite Calle de Tierra (Strategos, 58) and Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 56) dueled upfront.

As they turned for home, the former faded abruptly before finishing last—appearing to suffer a physical mishap—leaving Tac-Tac to fight on alone. However, once the eventual winner hit her stride, there was no stopping her.

The wire found Let Me Dance 2 1/2 lengths clear of a game Tac-Tac, while Qué Buena B (Qué Vida Buena, 58) rallied late to complete the trifecta, another 2 lengths back. The final time for the distance was 1m11s50/100.
