The Racing Commission of San Isidro Racetrack has finally made public the resolution regarding the positive drug test of the son of Full Mast in the first G1 of the year

Finally, the racing commission of San Isidro Racetrack decided on the positive test detected in Full Keynote on the occasion of his victory in the Gran Premio Miguel A. Martínez de Hoz, held last February 7, the first G1 of the 2026 season in Argentina.
Although the report does not yet appear on the Jockey Club Argentino track's website, it was incorporated into the news by La Plata Racetrack, where it is not clarified whether or not the counter-test was performed. Beyond the detail, the presence of dexamethasone was confirmed in the study carried out on the son of Full Mast, for which reason he was disqualified from first place and the corresponding penalties were applied to the specimen and to Diego Peña, his trainer.
As is known, that drug is considered drug treatment, so the sanctions are generally low, although here they were extended due to the aggravating factor of everything having occurred within the framework of a grand prize. Due to having no prior record, Diego Peña will not be able to present for a period of 3 months, until next May 12, inclusive. Meanwhile, the bay must remain inactive in the afternoons for 45 days, with his disqualification expiring on the 20th of next month.
Following the decision of the racing commission, the final scoreboard of the Martínez de Hoz, for the purpose of paying the prizes, was established as follows: 1st, Thor Medina (Mootasadir); 2nd, Chelato (Cosmic Trigger); 3rd, The Gladiator's Hat (Hat Ninja); 4th, Pecado Original (Global Hunter); 5th, Hit Colchonero (Hit It a Bomb); 6th, Out of the Blue (Drosselmeyer); 7th, Acento Final (Treasure Beach); 8th, El Encinal (Il Campione); 9th, Curious Song(Sixties Song); 10th, Neat Colt (Treasure Beach).
After his victory, Full Keynote had been nominated by the Jockey Club Argentino as its representative for the Gran Premio Latinoamericano (G1) to be run on Sunday, April 26, at Monterrico Racetrack, in Lima, Peru. However, upon the appearance of the positive, said spot was cancelled. With the resolution of the case in hand, San Isidro Racetrack designated Thor Medina as a replacement, who, according to the Don Guima site, would run the Clásico Otoño (G2) and, in case of not having a good performance, will finally end up traveling to the Coloso del Surco. Strange.
