The premier 3-year-old filly of the season at La Plata will continue her racing career for Mary Slack's Wilgerbosdrift; she leaves the country with victories in the Polla de Potrancas (G2) and the Gran Premio Selección de Potrancas (G1) as her crowning achievements

The next challenge for Personal Filly will take place far from the track where she established her dominance. The top 3-year-old filly of the season at Hipódromo de La Plata will travel to the United States to continue her campaign—initially—under the care of trainer H. Graham Motion, carrying the colors of Mary Slack's Wilgerbosdrift. For the winner of the Polla de Potrancas (G2) and the Gran Premio Selección de Potrancas (G1), a new chapter opens—one that will demand adaptation, but also offers a racing horizon of immense appeal.

The news marks the end of her stint in the barn of trainer Juan Saldivia, with whom she compiled a brief yet overwhelming campaign. From that winning debut in late February at Palermo to her crowning glory in El Bosque, the filly provided more than enough proof to earn her chance in a far more competitive arena.

Her trajectory possessed an exceptionally valuable attribute: she displayed quality from the very beginning and managed to sustain it as the demands intensified. Winning on debut was merely the first sign. Then came a runner-up effort in the Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha (G1), a performance that established her among the elite of her generation and validated her ability at the top level before finding La Plata as the setting for her finest afternoons.

There, she resolved in her favor the two fundamental features of the filly preview series. The Polla de Potrancasprovided the first major backing to her ambitions, and the Selección ultimately affirmed her supremacy. Those two victories, viewed in perspective, explain the decision to pursue new objectives abroad: she had conquered the core tests of her local calendar on that track and fully earned the opportunity to test herself further afield.

The sole blemish on her record was a seventh-place finish in the Clásico Manuel J. Güiraldes (G3). That result remained the lowest point of a career that, in all her other starts, consistently saw her winning or fighting out the finish. With 3 wins and a second-place finish from 6 starts, her Argentine campaign leaves an impression of consistency alongside the sheer weight of her stakes triumphs.

Now, Motion will receive a filly with experience, top-flight seasoning, and a physical evolution that invites eager interest in her next steps. Changing countries will involve a new routine, different tracks, and fresh rivals. Translating what she accomplished here will be the ultimate test, without taking anything away from the value of her earned titles as a starting point.

Her pedigree likewise offers compelling reasons to follow her progress closely. Personal Filly is out of Pure Doris(Pure Prize), a G2 winner, and is a granddaughter of Forty Doriana (Roar), Champion Sprinter. Her maternal line thus blends two direct references of top class, with racetrack credentials that lend firm foundation to what the filly displayed in recent months.

It is also a female family whose vitality boasts prominent modern examples. From this same branch emerged recent G1winners such as Natan (Señor Candy), Nievre (Catcher In the Rye), and Dionisio Tom (Shy Tom), among others. This continuity of results at the highest level underscores the strength of the traveler's pedigree through its recent output.

For Mary Slack, the venture continues with the same colors on a different stage. For Saldivia, there remains the satisfaction of a job well done, having guided a debutante to the pinnacle of her generation at La Plata. And for Personal Filly, the most open chapter of her story begins: turning a solid Argentine campaign into the springboard to build a legacy in the United States.
