PALERMO, Buenos Aires (Special for Turf Diario).- A nice double was signed by Stud Rubio B., jockey William Pereyra, trainer Juan C. Etchechoury (h.), Haras La Pasión, and the stallion Bodemeister. On Friday, at San Isidro, Rollanda paid her debt and achieved the first stakes victory of her campaign in the Especial Guatán; the following day, at Hipódromo de Palermo, the team enjoyed another success with Gigantografía (57 kg.), who also secured a long-awaited victory beyond the ordinary, easily taking the Handicap Tatán (1,800 m, normal dirt).

It was, furthermore, a nod to the many who maintain that when an important auction from a stud farm approaches, its horses and the planets align to achieve commercially strong photos. People still remember those times of La Quebradaand its "puchero," perhaps facing the day of the auction with a storm very early on, with the sun appearing when it was time for the presentation in the rear paddocks of San Isidro...

Well, beyond popular beliefs or coincidences, the truth is that Gigantografía had no trouble at all with the rivals she faced, looking at a high level and, perhaps, booking a return ticket to the field of graded races.

William Pereyra did not take the lead because he did not want to, letting Pasaron Cosas (Treasure Beach, 55 1/2) go out to run in the open for a little while. When the stretch arrived, the jockey loosened the reins of the winner, who dominated in two strides and began to pull away as easily as she did gradually.

The finish line found the bay mare with 5 lengths of advantage over Gneisenau (Winning Prize, 52). At 1/2 a length, Risible (Orpen, 56) was third, ahead of Contrast (Safety Check, 52), who finished the superfecta 1 length further back. The race time was 1m51s6/100, on a track that continues to be as tough as it has been for weeks.

Out of Giant's Blondway (Giant's Causeway), and therefore a half-sister to the G1 winner Giant Killing (Hat Trick) and the champion in Peru Hualcara (Exchange Rate), Gigantografía did it. And in very good fashion.´ía
