The colt will run the UAE 2000 Guineas (G3), together with the Brazilian Nam Phrik and the Uruguayan Don Vaccaro; Stud Las Monjitas's horse will start in the Al Fahidi Fort (G2)

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Special for Turf Diario) - The formidable Fashion Friday at Meydan will include an important South American presence. Huge is the expectation to see in action such cracks as Laurel River (Into Mischief) or Romantic Warrior (Acclamation), but, from the lower part of the world, the performances of the Argentinians Satu (Catcher In the Rye) and Giustino (Full Mast), the Brazilian Nam Phrik (Hofburg) and the Uruguayan Don Vaccaro (Alcorano) are the ones that generate illusion.
All trained by Julio Olascoaga and Antonio Cintra, the first three will be in a very crowded edition of the UAE 2000 Guineas (G3-1600 m, dirt), the race that opens the local Triple Crown, while the record horse Satu will go for the Al Fahidi Fort (G2-1400 m, turf).
Giustino's return is exciting. Undefeated in 3 starts, and winner of the Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos (G1) last season at Palermo, the colt owned by Haras La Providencia will be ridden by Brazilian Francisco Leandro -who traveled especially for the occasion- and is in ideal condition, according to Olascoaga himself in the interview with Turf Diario.
The disadvantage for the chestnut will be the layoff and make his debut in the local arena, items that neither Nam Phrik nor Don Vaccaro will have to check, coming from finishing fourth and seventh, respectively, to Golden Vekoma (Vekoma) in the UAE 2000 Guineas Trial, over 1400 meters.
The three South Americans will give 4 1/2 kilos to the rest of the runners, including Golden Vekoma himself. The top candidate is the English Heart of Honor (Honor A.P.), who has two clear conditional victories in this same track, after coming second in his debut in the synthetic at Southwell.
Godolphin, meanwhile, attacks with Midnight Thunder (Night of Thunder), double winner in England and who was fourth in his first local show.
Satu, owned by Stud Las Monjitas, who will also be ridden by Francisco Leandro, left everyone more than satisfied when a few weeks ago he got rid of a year of layoff with an excellent performance in the Business Bay Challenge (L), finishing fourth in the final meters and after leading from the start.
It was 3/4 lengths, neck and neck the difference that day separated the Argentine from Native Approach (Too Darn Hot), San Donato (Lope de Vega) and Danyah (Invincible Spirit), the first and third, back in the starting gate now.
To the challenges for Satu need to add Mysterious Night (Dark Angel), owned by Godolphin, as well as Native Approach, who won this same race in it previous edition and also counts victories un the Canadian Summer Stakes (G1) and the French Prix Francois Boutin (G3).
Finally, should also pay attention to Make Me King (Dark Angel), because, after an entertaining European campaign, he stepped firmly in his first performance in the United Arab Emirates by winning the HH The President Cup (L).
