RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Special Correspondent).—The Gran Premio Latinoamericano (G1) will be run this Saturday, October 18, at Hipódromo da Gávea, and for the first time, racing fans across the continent will be able to experience it live, in full, with professional coverage starting at 1:00 p.m. via Global Media Turf (GMT), the channel set on redefining horse racing journalism in the region.

GMT, with its team of turf-specialist journalists, promises comprehensive coverage of one of South America’s premier races, including live broadcasting of the event, extensive on-track reporting, interviews with trainers, jockeys, and key figures, detailed analysis, and contributions from notable personalities in South American and global racing.

Among GMT’s founding partners are renowned Argentine trainer Ignacio Correas (h.) and Hall of Fame Venezuelan jockey Ramón Domínguez, aligning with the channel’s vision of providing expert-driven content for true racing enthusiasts. The team also includes Néstor Obregón Rossi, Pablo Núñez, Juan Carlos Feijoo G., Lucila Di Nucci, Cristian Corgniati, and Diego H. Mitagstein, with Héctor “Puchi” García and Fernanda Perrone joining on-site at Gávea.

The broadcast will be available via the official website, www.globalmediaturf.com, and on GMT’s YouTube channel (link), where viewers can follow the Latinoamericano live and access all additional content as the channel ramps up its coverage.

GMT holds exclusive Spanish-language rights thanks to an agreement with the Organización Sudamericana de Fomento del Sangre Pura de Carrera (OSAF), which included producing the “Objetivo Latino” series. It is the only authorized outlet offering the race in Spanish, while Portuguese coverage will be available via TV Turfe, with its usual high-quality broadcast.

The channel aims to revolutionize horse racing journalism in South America, offering rigorous, in-depth content with expert analysis while keeping the excitement of the competition front and center. The coverage will feature live interviews, race-by-race analysis, paddock and track reports, and special segments that put viewers at the heart of the action. GMT reporters will be alongside trainers and jockeys, delivering firsthand information and the unique experience of witnessing a continental classic.

“We want fans to feel like they are at Gávea, living every moment, every expectation, every victory, and every behind-the-scenes gesture,” said one of the channel’s founders. “Our goal is to restore prestige and credibility to Latin American racing journalism and give all fans access to the Gran Premio Latinoamericano like never before.”

With GMT, the 2025 Gran Premio Latinoamericano will be more than just a race: it will be a full multimedia event, accessible in Spanish and Portuguese, featuring reliable information, expert insight, and passionate, professional, and detailed storytelling.

From 1:00 p.m. until approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, eyes across the continent will be on the stunning city of Rio de Janeiro, with Global Media Turf serving as the primary window to experience it live, cementing its position as The Channel of the Latino.
