LA PLATA—As tradition dictates, the Gran Premio Dardo Rocha (G1) festival on November 19 will be accompanied by a strong supporting program featuring seven stakes races, headlined by the Joaquín V. González (G2–1600m), the Ciudad de La Plata (G2–1200m), and the Marcos Levalle (G2–1600m)—all of which now have their fields finalized.

The prestigious mile, one of La Plata’s flagship events, will see 15 starters following the withdrawals of Mis Locuras(Manipulator) and Quebracho Joy (Fortify). The confirmed lineup includes: Adorado Rim (Remote), Amigazo Sky(Falling Sky), Black Stripes (Equal Stripes), Chaplin (Nicholas), Concord (Remote), El Ernesto (Señor Candy), Emblematicu (Lucullan), Hit Colchonero (Hit It a Bomb), Notable Island (Lizard Island), Piñazo (John F Kennedy), Sabiyano (Fortify), Silencio Dramático (Grand Reward), Song Joy (Fortify), Storm Sound (Hi Happy), and Unico Happy (Hi Happy).

The overflow of entries for the Ciudad de La Plata (G2–1200m)—open to horses aged three and up—prompted the creation of two additional divisions under similar conditions: the Clásicos Ciudad de Berisso and Ciudad de Ensenada, ensuring room for all qualified sprinters.

The main Ciudad de La Plata (G2) will feature a strong lineup led by Es Aristocrático (Angiolo), alongside El Resero Con Capa (Angiolo), Emmspacial Boy (Emmanuel), Lo Dejo Todo (Le Blues), Rugiente (Il Campione), East Ender (Il Campione), Huracán Risk (Security Risk), Vespaciano (Daniel Boone), South Ballado (AP Candy), Decan Dall (Victor Security), Earth and Fire (Cosmic Trigger), Noni Letal (Don Letal), Oro Azteca (Empire Aztec), Lunático Blues (Le Blues), and Príncipe Soñado (Fragotero).

In contrast, the Marcos Levalle (G2–1600m) drew a smaller but select field, with only eight of the originally 15 nominees confirmed: Cara Romana (The Great Day), Escolastic Girl (Suggestive Boy), Flor de Laurel (Il Campione), Illa Alegre (Sabat Husson), Mimosa Grey (Zensational), Nevada Top (Puerto Escondido), Pecadora Joy(Fortify), and Soy La Líder (Manipulator).

Completing the stellar lineup, the Clásico Asociación Cooperativa de Criadores de SPC (L–1100m, dirt) for fillies and mares three and up will bring together: Save Your Tears (Full Mast), La Meninha (Le Blues), High Rimout(Remote), Gran Celestial (Il Mercato), Emprestada (Cosmic Trigger), Starry Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), and Calle de Tierra (Strategos).

With depth, quality, and large fields across every division, La Plata’s Dardo Rocha Day is once again shaping up as a true festival of speed and stamina—an unmissable celebration of Argentine racing.
