Gota Clara Sos (Made You Look) put on a clinic Tuesday at El Bosque, overcoming a sluggish start to capture the Especial Apertura (1000m, dirt) in eye-catching fashion. Trained by Marcelo Sueldo at San Isidro’s Campo 2, the chestnut filly for Stud Pauli loomed boldly at the top of the lane before drawing off with ease, stamping herself as a juvenile to watch.

Guided by William Pereyra—subbing for the vacationing Gonzalo Borda—Gota Clara Sos hit the wire six lengths clear of Gran Gotera. The result secured a 1-2 finish for breeder Haras Gran Muñeca and their freshman sire Made You Look(More Than Ready). The sire had already made waves recently with the impressive turf debut winner Mayan Goddess for the same connections.

Amiguita Casual (Todo Un Amiguito) finished a nose back in third, while the Sueldo-trained favorite, Adorable Pass(Distinctiv Passion), disappointed in eighth. The final time was a sharp :59.16.

Though still green and with much to learn, this powerful opening statement positions Gota Clara Sos as a leading contender for the upcoming juvenile stakes season at La Plata.
