The daughter of Señor Candy carries superior credentials and will shoulder a permissive 57 1/2 kilos

This afternoon at Palermo Racetrack will not feature the usual quality meeting that typically opens the weekend. There will be 16 races in total, many of them filling the card alongside some entertaining conditional events, but not much more. Even within the stakes schedule, the offering is lean, coming by way of the Handicap Cote D'Or, which will measure winning mares 4 years old and up over 1600 meters on the dirt.
Scheduled late at 7:30 p.m., it found only 7 confirmed runners, a field highlighted by the presence of Guadilu, who, not for nothing, will be responsible for carrying the top weight of 57 1/2 kilos—quite permissive, indeed.
With the daughter of Señor Candy, trainer Agustín Pavlovsky will try to shine once again, fresh off capturing the Especial Halo Ola on Friday at San Isidro thanks to Dona Zoe (Storm Embrujado).
Defending the historic silks of Stud Lagrange, the bay mare has been putting together a highly valuable campaign, with two victories at this level and close finishes in stakes company, such as her second in the Luis Monteverde (L), her third in the Orbit (L), and her recent fourth in the Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3) at La Plata, just 1 1/4 lengths behind Foto Mental (Leofric).
Lined up to face her is her paternal half-sister Paxing (53 kg.), who, after poor performances in the Los Criadores (G2), Omega (G2), and the Gran Premio Copa Diamante (G1), takes a step back to a framework where she was previously seen capturing the Clásico Tía Gallarda at La Plata.
Master Jane (Mastercraftsman, 55) is in a position to spring a surprise, as is the ascending Elenis (Manipulator, 52), who will run light.
