Guadilu returns to La Plata aiming to build on her momentum

The representative for Stud Lagrange, fresh off a victory in the Handicap Stars and Stripes at Palermo, headlines the Clásico Ina Nistel over 1400 meters. Qué Buena B and Amonet emerge as her primary threats

LA PLATA.— The return of Guadilu to the oval where she established much of her standing will be one of the main attractions of Thursday's card at El Bosque. A modest 10-race program makes up the schedule, with the Clásico Ina Nistel, set as the sixth race at 5:00 p.m., capturing primary interest as six fillies and mares aged 4 and up clash over 1400 meters on the dirt.
The daughter of Señor Candy and La Introvertida, trained by Agustín Pavlovsky for the silks of Lagrange, arrives with her confidence high. Exactly a month ago at Palermo, she captured the Handicap Stars and Stripes, prevailing by two lengths over Endeia (Idolo Porteño) while delivering a convincing performance that suggests she still has plenty more to offer.
It was no isolated victory. Guadilu knows the La Plata surface intimately, having put together performances that fully validate her credentials—such as her four-length score in the Especial Haras La Biznaga over Vieja Amiga Mask(Mask), a proven stakes-level competitor. She has also accumulated solid placings in group company, remaining consistently competitive against tough opposition. Boasting 7 wins and as many second-place finishes from 20 career starts, she exhibits a rare level of reliability.
Gonzalo Borda rejoins her in the saddle under a top weight of 60 kilograms. She will not have a clear path, however, particularly with the presence of Qué Buena B, a contender who understands what it takes to win in stakes company over this track. The daughter of Qué Vida Buena boasts victories in the Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich (G3) and the Clásico Curtida Nistel, credentials that demand respect.
Her most recent third-place finish in the Clásico Día del Respeto y la Diversidad Cultural, five lengths behind Lady Nicolasa, can be deceptive if taken strictly at face value. That race was contested over 1000 meters, and she now stretches out to 1400 meters—a distance that poses a question mark for a filly renowned for her raw speed. Joaquín Guida takes the reins, also carrying 60 kilograms.
A different set of questions surrounds Amonet. The daughter of Mask will make her local debut at La Plata following a runner-up effort in allowance company at San Isidro, though her overall form offers higher references than that recent outing. In 2025, she captured the Clásico Empiric and subsequently placed third in the Clásico Melgarejo (L),both on the turf at San Isidro. That back class is unquestioned; the variable will be how effectively she transfers it to a new surface, with Kevin Banegas aboard at 59 kilograms.
Further back in the prospective analysis sits Leyenda Mundial (Platinum Warrior), most recently fourth in the Handicap Haras Don Florentino and winner of 3 races from just 8 career starts. She remains an unexposed candidate with room to progress, though this company represents a steeper test. La Chaperona (Furious Key) and Stella Prize(Winning Prize) round out the field, though based on their recent form, both will need to step up significantly to make an impact in the outcome.
