The outcome of the Gran Premio Miguel A. Martínez de Hoz (G1) at Hipódromo de San Isidro, the first top-level event of the national season, had a significant impact on the classic rankings compiled by the Stud Book Argentino as of the end of February.

The victory by Grezzo propelled Hi Happy (Pure Prize)Cityscape (Selkirk), and Stud La Providencia—his sire, broodmare sire, and owner—to the top of their respective categories. Meanwhile, in the breeders' standings, Haras El Paraíso continues its remarkable run in the highest-paying division, securing the lead, just as it has in the overall rankings.

The breeding operation of Victoria Pueyrredón and Pablo Duggan celebrated six stakes wins by its products, amassing earnings of 55,731,550 pesos, placing it ahead of La Providencia, which sits second with 48,275,600 pesos. A bit further back are Haras El AlfalfarFirmamento, and Juan Antonio, rounding out the top five.

Among sires, Hi Happy surged to the top of the classic rankings thanks to Grezzo’s triumphs in the Clásico Botafogo (G3) and the Martínez de Hoz, combined with Storm Sound's (Hi Happy) success at La Plata. He now holds an advantage of over 18,000,000 pesos over Il Campione (Scat Daddy), who barely edged out Distinctiv Passion (Orientate) for second. Daddy Long Legs (Scat Daddy) follows closely in fourth, while Angiolo (Grand Reward) rounds out the top five.

La Providencia enjoys the success of Grezzo and maintains its lead in the owners' standings, though El Alfalfar is in close pursuit, bolstered by its strong group of runners. Juan Antonio holds third, with Pauli in fourth and Stud RDI in fifth.

In the broodmare sires’ division, the influential Cityscape holds a narrow lead over Key Deputy (Deputy Minister) and Orpen (Lure)—the overall leader—while Sebi Halo (Southern Halo) and Easing Along (Storm Cat) complete the top five.

As expected, Grezzo dominates the individual earnings rankings, amassing 42,850,000 pesos in prize money—far ahead of Luz Delito (Lizard Island), who follows with 13,872,500 pesosObra Clásica (Suggestive Boy)Look Portal (Portal del Alto), and Honest Boy (Heliostatic) all trail within a similar range.

Below are the updated classic statistics provided by the Stud Book Argentino as of February 28.
