A busy week on the national sales circuit continues Thursday with the latest edition of Haras Firmamento’s Gran Venta Primavera, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Villa Elisa Tattersall under the management of Antonio Bullrich SA.

As always, Juan Carlos Bagó’s farm will offer many of its top 2023-bred selections within a strong catalogue of 30 yearlings, featuring offspring of The Great Day (Harlan’s Holiday), Remote (Dansili), Hit It a Bomb (War Front), Cityscape (Selkirk), and Daniel Boone (Wild Event), as well as the first crops from Emotion Orpen (Orpen) and Sovereign (Galileo).

Among the highlights is Never Hit (Hit It a Bomb), the maternal sibling of Joy Neverland (Fortify), champion older filly and G1 Gran Premio Copa de Plata winner, and Matías Ignacio (Fortify), who captured Peru’s Clásico Marcial, descending from the family of Nipona (Babas Fables).

Another standout is Hit Mad (Hit It a Bomb), from the G1 winner Locasa Nistel (Van Nistelrooy), and maternal sibling to Beatle Francés (Super Saver), one of the top colts of his generation and winner of the G3 Clásico Coronel Miguel F. Martínez.

Also catalogued are Hit Holiday (Hit It a Bomb), the third foal from the outstanding Halo Holiday (Harlan’s Holiday), winner of the G1 Gran Premio Selección de Potrancas and G1 Gran Premio Acebal, and Olímpico Pen (Emotion Orpen–Olímpica Catch, by Catcher In the Rye), sibling to Olímpica Hit (Hit It a Bomb), victor of the G2 Clásico Bullrich.

The catalogue also features Emotion Rim (Remote–Flamboyance, by Invincible Spirit) as lot 2, full sibling to G3 Flamboyance Rim, and Tordo Rim (Remote–Gringa Torda, by Harlan’s Holiday) as lot 3, maternal sibling to Gringo Guerrero.

High interest is also expected for Great Terrible (The Great Day), whose dam Oh So Terrible (Cape Blanco) was a stakes-placed runner in the U.S. and a daughter of Miss Terrible (Numerous), an all-time emblem for Firmamento.
