Starting at 6 p.m. in a virtual format, 28 juveniles will go through the ring, including 23 by the dark bay son of Candy Ride—all nominated to the 2026 Polla Millonaria in Azul

It won’t be just another yearling sale for Haras La Catedral today. Starting at 6 p.m., and held live in a virtual format, the farm owned by Matías Cullen will offer the first crop by Nicodemus under the hammer of Martín Zubeldía Horse Sales. A son of Candy Ride with an accomplished racing résumé and a strong pedigree, Nicodemus heads to the sales ring with high expectations.
A total of 28 yearlings will be up for grabs, including 23 by the new stallion. The catalog is rounded out by progeny of Endorsement (Distorted Humor), Chuck Berry (Grand Reward), Curioso Johan (Johannesburg), Seahenge (Scat Daddy), and Dubai Thunder (Dubawi).
All offerings will be automatically eligible for the second edition of the Polla Millonaria Haras La Catedral, scheduled for 2026 at Hipódromo de Azul.
La Catedral has given Nicodemus strong support, and that commitment is reflected in a catalog full of quality. Hip 1, Candy Nevado Nik, is a colt born Sept. 26 out of the ultra-productive Candy Sola (Candy Stripes), a sister to the outstanding Met Day (Mutakddim) and producer of Candy Nevada (Pure Prize), winner of both the G1 Polla de Potrancas and G1 Gran Premio Potrancas, from a formidable Brazilian family.
Among the standouts by Nicodemus is Girlie Nik, a filly foaled the same day, and a half-sister to G1 winner Girlie(Pure Prize), Uruguayan G2 winner Giddy (Seeking Daylight), listed stakes winner Gigahertz (Cityscape), stakes-placed Givaudan (Pure Prize), and Ginalollo (Pure Prize), the dam of G3 winner Giornata (Full Mast) and stakes winner Girl On Fire (Cityscape).
Other highlights from the draft include:
Niky Pink, out of stakes-placed Pinky Nistel (Van Nistelrooy) and granddaughter of champion Miss Pinky(Numerous);
Fantástico Nik, out of a half-sister to G2 winner Fantastic Royale (Val Royal);
Kamykase Nik, a half-brother to stakes-placed Kamikase Victory (Life of Victory);
Classic Nik, a full brother to stakes winner Clairemont (Cima de Triomphe);
Patriota Nik, out of the multiple winner Celeste y Blanca (Indy Point);
and Maiandra Nik, a daughter of G1-placed stakes winner Maiandra (Master of Hounds).
