José Cerrillo's nursery will bring its 2024 yearling auction to a close today through the (Arg) Sales online platform

If there is one thing that distinguishes Haras Pozo de Luna and its breeding program, it is quality. From the outset, José Cerrillo's operation set out to produce horses overflowing with pedigree, and judging by the results, the plan has worked to perfection.
Associated with runners of the caliber of Suggestive Boy (Easing Along), Blue Stripe (Equal Stripes), Interaction (Easing Along), Irideo (Easing Along), Cuan Chef (Daddy Long Legs), Acento Final (Treasure Beach), Animas (Easing Along), and many others, the farm located in Chenaut will bring its Gran Venta de Productos 2024 to a close this afternoon, offering the majority of its latest crop.
Conducted entirely online, with pre-bidding already underway through the (Arg) Sales platform, the company responsible for organizing the auction, the sale features 21 lots. The catalog includes offspring by Fortify (Distorted Humor), Daddy Long Legs (Scat Daddy), Treasure Beach (Galileo), Hi Happy (Pure Prize), Nicodemus (Candy Stripes), and three youngsters by the outstanding Tiz the Law (Constitution), all out of mares sent to Haras Paso Nevado in Chile to be bred to the Belmont Stakes winner.
The striking chestnut Henman has already attracted strong early bidding, leading the way in that regard. His appeal, however, extends far beyond his physical presence.
By Fortify, he is the second foal out of multiple Group 2 winner Henestrosa (Treasure Beach), a sister to Group 1 winner Huapango Torero (Suggestive Boy) and out of Group 3 winner Happy Queen (Roy).
Another of the sale's headline attractions is Singularis (Fortify), the first foal produced by the outstanding Siempre En Mi Mente (Equal Stripes), winner of the Juárez Celman (G2), Paseana (G2), and Balsa (G3), among others, and a member of the same family as Suggestive Boy.
The three Tiz the Law offerings include Solanas Law, the first foal out of Group 2 winner Sopa de Lima (Easing Along); Strict Law, whose dam is the Group 3-placed Sofrita (Roman Ruler); and San Pablo Law, out of Selva Sola, a full sister to the champion Suggestive Boy.
Also cataloged are Alto Jahuel (Daddy Long Legs), out of stakes winner Alla Tua Salute (Pure Prize); Per Secula (Daddy Long Legs), a brother to Group 2 winner and successful sire Portal del Alto (Malibu Moon); Sine Qua Non (Treasure Beach), out of Group 2 winner She's Happy (Speightstown) and a brother to stakes winner Sin Temor (Suggestive Boy); Diosa Artemisa (Treasure Beach), a half-sister to Group 3 winner Dzik (Portal del Alto); Hurcakz (Daddy Long Legs), a half-brother to both Huapango Torero and Henestrosa; Animoso Crack (Nicodemus), out of Group 1 winner Animas (Easing Along); and Ulrike (Treasure Beach), a half-brother to Group 1 winner Urmeneta (Cosmic Trigger).
Quality was mentioned at the beginning of this story.
And quality is exactly what this sale offers—a virtual festival of sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters of elite performers. Mission accomplished.Haras
