Haras Vacación Broodmare Sale Set for Wednesday in Online Format

The active sales season in Argentina continues Wednesday, this time shifting focus to the breeding shed. Held in an online format and organized by (Arg) Sales, the Haras Vacación Broodmare Sale will offer a group of 39 mares, most of them representing the most traditional families developed by Damasia Lottero and Pablo Zavaleta’s renowned operation.

Broodmares by top sires such as Fortify (Distorted Humor), Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), Roman Ruler (Fusaichi Pegasus), Orpen (Lure), Hurricane Cat (Storm Cat), Mutakddim (Seeking the Gold), Sebi Halo (Southern Halo), Indygo Shiner (A.P. Indy), King’s Best (Kingmambo), Not for Sale (Parade Marshal), Seahenge (Scat Daddy), Hennessy (Storm Cat), In the Dark (Mutakddim), Intérprete (Farnesio), Easing Along (Storm Cat), War Command(War Front), Campanologist (King’s Best), Catcher In the Rye (Danehill), and Remote (Dansili) will go through the virtual ring, in foal to stallions such as Satono Flag (Deep Impact), Señor Candy (Candy Ride), Seahenge, Cityscape(Selkirk), Full Mast (Mizzen Mast), Remote, and Treasure Beach (Galileo).

One of the highlights of the catalogue is Tarde Libre, a consistent daughter of Fortify who won four races at San Isidro between the ages of two and four and was runner-up in the G3 Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich. Offered in foal to Cityscape, the bay is out of G3 winner Timberline (Easing Along) and hails from the family of G1 heroine Tarsilia (Roman Ruler).

Another well-performed offering is Inca Romana (Roman Ruler), a three-time winner at San Isidro and Palermo, including a win at three. She is a half-sister to stakes performer Inca Soleada (Dynamix) and comes from one of Argentina’s most prestigious female lines, closely related to champion Inca Noble (Ride the Rails), and G1 winners Corona del Inca (Luhuk) and Gran Mirella (Dabster).

The catalogue also includes proven producers such as Tarabela (King’s Best), dam of stakes winner Tisiano (Hurricane Cat); Not for Touch (Not for Sale), dam of multiple stakes-placed Not for a Day and Not for Her (both by Roman Ruler); and Invocare (Roman Ruler), dam of stakes winner Ilusion Star (Star Dabbler).

Also featured are half-sisters to champions or G1 winners like Lenovo (Roman Ruler), Kali Baby (Aptitude), the aforementioned Tarsilia, Balada Sale (Not for Sale), Le Blues (Roman Ruler), Touareg (Easing Along), Nashville Texan (Forestry), and Crazy Plus (Alpha Plus), among others.

Pre-bidding is already underway, with the final phase of the auction beginning at 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday via the (Arg) Sales platform.
