The yearling sales season will make another important stop this Thursday when Haras Vacación stages its Gran Venta Otoño de Productos 2024 at the Tattersall of Hipódromo de San Isidro, with (Arg) Sales once again handling the organization.

Scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., following an inspection period starting at 5 p.m., the auction will offer 36 colts and fillies, including offspring by established stallions Fortify (Distorted Humor), Hi Happy (Pure Prize), Cityscape (Selkirk), and Treasure Beach (Galileo). The catalog also features members of the second and final crop of Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), along with several representatives from the first Argentine crop of the promising Japanese sire Satono Flag (Deep Impact).

One of the headline attractions is In My Heart (Fortify), who was withdrawn from Vacación's previous sale due to a minor setback and now returns in search of a buyer. The colt is a maternal half-brother to Imagen de Roma (Roman Ruler), winner of the Gran Premio Jockey Club (G1), and belongs to the prolific family descending from Fitzcarraldo (Cipayo), one of the most influential sources of top-class performers in Argentina over recent decades.

Another youngster generating significant early interest through the online pre-bidding platform is Lucky Princess, a filly by Fortify out of stakes winner Plage (Jump Start). She is a half-sister to Liberto (Hurricane Cat), winner of the Clásico Pippermint (G3), and to Uruguayan stakes-placed performer Líder Nato (Hi Happy).

Among the representatives of Satono Flag, Bulebu stands out as the second foal from La Murguita (Grand Reward), winner of the Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3) and a half-sister to Group 2 winner Comparsero (The Leopard) and stakes winner Solo Candombe (Winning Prize), all tracing to the family of La Copera (Good Manners).

Tener Fe, another daughter of Satono Flag, is out of graded stakes winner Timberline (Easing Along), already the dam of stakes-placed runners Tarde Libre (Fortify) and Travel Pass (Fortify).

The Japanese stallion is also represented by Tan Lejos, out of Group 1 winner Tamariu (Engrillado), and Beauty Flag, whose dam is Beauty Roy (Roy), winner of the Clásico Miguel Luis Morales (G2) and producer of Group 2 winner Balkana (Roman Ruler).

Among the Fortify offerings, Alas de Angel is a half-brother to Angel del Cielo (Orpen), runner-up in the Polla de Potrillos (G3) at La Plata, while Jet Flag (Satono Flag) is out of Joy Rosita (Fortify), a full sister to Group 1 winners Joy Rosy and Roman Joy, the latter having gone on to become a successful stallion.

With a catalog once again loaded with proven families, black-type performers, and the promise of emerging sire lines, Haras Vacación appears ready to maintain its traditional position among the most eagerly anticipated sales events of the Argentine season.
