Continuing a busy stretch on the auction calendar, Haras Vadarkblar takes center stage this Friday as it presents the cream of its 2024 foal crop to prospective buyers. The nursery owned by the Crotto family will offer a catalog of 26 colts and fillies sired by Silentio (Silent Name) and Annals of Time (Temple City), under the auction management of Racehorse.
The sale is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. following the digital parade and will be conducted entirely online. Financial terms include flexible payment options featuring 10 post-dated check installments or 6 installments without checks, along with a 12 percent discount for cash settlements.
Among the marquee offerings is Vestida Time (Annals of Time out of Doll Dress, by Equal Stripes), a half-sister to stakes standout Del Muñeco (Galicado), winner of the Clásico General Pueyrredón (G3) and runner-up in the Gran Premio Copa de Oro (G1). The filly descends from the distinguished maternal family of G1 winners Dreaman(Galicado), Muñecote (Equalize), and Muñeca Soñada (Lizard Island), among other black-type performers.
Another catalog standout on pedigree is Araucaria Time (Annals of Time out of Forestadora, by Cima de Triomphe), the second foal out of a San Isidro winning dam. She is a half-sister to Formalizadita (Freud), who produced G1 Gran Premio Selección heroine Nos Dijimos Todo (Cosmic Trigger), later exported. The bottom line traces directly to champion Fiara (Pepenador).
Pedigree enthusiasts will also look closely at Marsellesa Si (Silentio out of Masiera, by Jump Start), a dark brown filly who is a half-sister to stakes performer Masiera Time (Annals of Time) and 3-year-old Palermo winner La de Masiera(Aspire).
Her dam, Masiera, is a half-sister to G1 winner Martana (Fortify), both produced by G3 winner Marsigliese(Mutakddim)—a half-sister to Argentine champion Malpensa (Orpen). In Japan, Malpensa produced Japanese champion Satono Diamond (Deep Impact) and is the granddam of Japanese Champion 3-Year-Old Colt Dura Erede(Duramente).
Holding the Lot 1 spot in the catalog is Bautismo Time (Annals of Time), the second foal out of the talented racemare La Bautismal (Aspire), a three-time winner at ages 2 and 3 who also placed in stakes company, including a second-place finish in the Clásico Bayakoa (L).
