The daughter of Remote scored by 3 lengths over Ventaja Clara in the 1200-meter Bolivia

LA PLATA.- High Rimout had been knocking on the door in listed company throughout the season—despite the occasional misstep—and finally got her due Thursday at La Plata, capturing the Especial Bolivia (1200m, dirt) with a commanding performance. The feature served as the co-headliner to the G3 Polla de Potrillos.
Tracking pacesetter Garufa Mask (Mask) through the opening stages, the Stud CCMP runner swept to the lead turning for home and quickly put the race to bed. From there, the daughter of Remote coasted to a 3-length score over longshot Ventaja Clara (Sardinero), with Tac-Tac (Manipulator) a further length back in third. Gurisa Mask was eased by her rider, possibly in response to a physical issue. Final time was 1:13.40 under Franco Menéndez, with Jorge H. Pridaoverseeing her preparation.
Bred by Haras Firmamento, High Rimout is out of Highfever (Orpen), herself a daughter of G1 winner Bartola (Roy), from the extended family of Baldeada (Pepenador), a key broodmare at Haras Vacación.
Now a 4-year-old, High Rimout secured the fourth win of her 15-race career, which includes runner-up honors in the Clásico Diego M. Argüello and a third in the Especial Curtida Nistel. With her form trending upward, the best may still be ahead.
