The strong run of form for trainer Roberto A. Pellegatta and jockey Maximiliano Aserito continued Friday at Palermo Racecourse, where progressive sophomore Holy Holy Rim made a successful jump into stakes company with a sharp victory in the Listed Malvinas Argentinas, contested over 2000 meters (about 1¼ miles).

Coming off back-to-back wins in conditions races following a runner-up debut, the son of the ever-consistent Remote (GB) proved more than ready for the rise in class. Patiently handled early by Aserito, Holy Holy Rim launched a strong late run up the rail and swept past rivals late to claim another marquee win for the red-hot trainer-jockey duo, who recently teamed up to take the G1 Gran Premio República Argentina with Need You Tonight (Hat Ninja)—also over 10 furlongs on this same course.

Racing for Stud O.S., Holy Holy Rim broke alertly but quickly settled into third behind early leaders Super Inter (Super Inter) and Mister Coquette (Bodemeister), who set a solid opening fraction of 47.42 for the half-mile.

As the field rounded the final turn, favorite Endor Rye advanced on the outside to press the pace, and multiple horses lined up across the track. A pivotal moment came when Super Inter drifted in and briefly impeded Holy Holy Rim, forcing Aserito to check and shift to the inside. Undeterred, the colt regained his momentum, finding a seam and powering home down the rail.

While Jardín Secreto (Endorsement) and Endor Rye battled on the outside, Holy Holy Rim kicked into top gear in the final 150 meters and drew away with authority, taking the win by a length over Jardín Secreto. Endor Rye finished third, 1½ lengths back, with longshot Gadzooks (Galán de Cine) rounding out the superfecta, 6 lengths behind the winner.

Final time for the 2000 meters was 2:00.15, with additional splits of 1:12.10 and 1:36.10.

Bred by Haras Firmamento, Holy Holy Rim is the second foal out of Distinguida Holy (Harlan's Holiday), a daughter of Soy Distinguida (Rare Performer)—herself out of the legendary Argentine mare Mi Quimera (Good Manners). The family, carefully cultivated at Juan Carlos Bagó’s Haras, continues to deliver high-class runners across generations.a.
