The 2024 Triple Crown winner from Maroñas has already arrived in the United States and will soon join Argentine trainer Ignacio Correas’s barn at Gulfstream Park before heading to Keeneland

HALLANDALE BEACH, Florida (Special for Turf Diario).- Suablenanav TH, the 2024 Triple Crown winner at Maroñas, Uruguay, has arrived in the United States to embark on a new chapter in his career under the guidance of Ignacio Correas (h.). The gray colt is set to join Correas’ barn at Gulfstream Park in the coming days before shipping to Keeneland.
The news was confirmed by both Correas and Haras Phillipson, the breeding operation of Benjamín Steinbruch, which campaigns its U.S.-based runners under the Brownwood Farm banner.
“There’s no doubt he’s an exceptional horse. His performance in a tough Ramírez reaffirmed everything he had shown throughout the year. It’s a pleasure to have another exciting opportunity with a South American runner. I always say that, given the proper acclimation time, they adapt and perform well here,” said Correas, who was still reveling in the impressive victory of Nanda Dea (Fortify) in the Albert M. Stall Memorial Stakes (L) at Fair Grounds just hours earlier.
“He has already proven his ability at the classic distance, but he also showed speed, having shined over 1400 meters and a mile. Here, the top races in his division are usually run over 1800 meters, which should suit him well,” Correas added.
By T.H. Approval out of Forbidden Love (Footstepsinthesand), Suablenanav TH was a Triple Crown champion at Maroñas, capturing the Gran Criterium Potrillos (L), Polla de Potrillos (G3), Jockey Club (G3), and Nacional (G2). His career began with a fifth-place effort at two, followed by an impressive streak of victories that cemented his status as the top colt of his generation.
In his Maroñas swan song, he finished third behind El Kodigo (Equal Stripes)—the standout Argentine champion currently preparing for next Saturday’s Saudi Cup (G1)—after suffering an unfortunate pre-race mishap in the paddock.
With his team now in place, Suablenanav TH emerges as a major South American hopeful for the coming months in the U.S., bringing heightened anticipation for what’s to come.
