With the first half of the year complete, Il Campione, who stands at El Paraíso, leads all major categories according to Stud Book Argentino statistics, with Fortify and Remote also enjoying strong seasons

With the first half of the racing season complete in Argentina, it is an ideal time to pause and analyze the key statistical categories, based on data from Stud Book Argentino.
Among sires, Il Campione (Scat Daddy) and Fortify (Distorted Humor) enjoyed productive results during last weekend’s Carreras de las Estrellas, maintaining their leadership in that order. Il Campione holds a strong edge, topping the charts for earnings, winners, races won, stakes wins, and G1 victories—the latter category tied with the surprising Hat Ninja (Hat Trick).
In total progeny earnings, Il Campione has amassed AR$715,244,188, well ahead of Fortify’s AR$591,863,333—a sizable gap that will be difficult to close, though the year remains long.
Remote (Dansili) continues his excellent run, sitting third with AR$456,442,571, followed by Hi Happy (Pure Prize), the top-ranked Argentine-bred stallion, with AR$409,864,913. Next is Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), with several close behind.
By races won, Il Campione leads with 89, followed by Remote (65), Fortify (63), Manipulator (Unbridled, 51), and Daddy Long Legs (Scat Daddy, 49). In terms of individual winners, Il Campione again tops the list with 68, trailed by Remote (46), Fortify (44), Manipulator (41), and Daddy Long Legs (41).
When examining percentage of winners among sires with over 50 runners, Remote leads with 46% (46/100), followed by Bodemeister (Empire Maker) at 43.4% (26/60) and In the Dark (Mutakddim) with 42.6% (29/68). Qué Vida Buena(Bernstein) posts 41.4% (29/70), with Il Campione at 41% (68/166).
In stakes victories, Il Campione again leads with 13, one ahead of Fortify and two in front of Remote. Hi Happy, Distinctiv Passion (With Distinction), and Daddy Long Legs share fourth place with six apiece.
At the G1 level, Il Campione and Hat Ninja are tied atop the rankings with three wins each. Strategos (Zensational) and Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), both freshman sires, along with Remote, follow closely with two each.
