With the Final Two Months of 2025 Ahead, Familiar Names Sit Atop the Various Rankings

As the tenth month of the Argentine racing season comes to a close, the latest statistics released by the Stud Book Argentino reveal familiar leaders strengthening their dominance as the year enters its final stretch.
While several of the country’s richest and most prestigious races remain to be run, the numbers confirm that Il Campione(Scat Daddy) continues to build toward yet another stallion title, with Orpen (Lure) leading among broodmare sires, Haras El Paraíso atop the breeders’ standings, and Firmamento shining once again among owners.
Il Campione’s advantage over the persistent Fortify (Distorted Humor) remains comfortable—just under 230 million pesos—while Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), Remote (Dansili), and Hi Happy (Pure Prize) are locked in a tight battle for third.
Among breeders, El Paraíso continues to hold a solid lead, having amassed $1,895,862,688 in earnings compared to Firmamento’s $1,640,811,266. Haras La Pasión ranks third, followed by Abolengo and Vacación, who are separated by a razor-thin margin in the race for fourth place.
After spending much of the year chasing the top spot, Orpen has now pulled clear of Easing Along (Storm Cat) among broodmare sires—and looks poised to secure another title. Not For Sale (Parade Marshal), Pure Prize (Storm Cat), and Sebi Halo (Southern Halo) round out the top five.
In the owners’ standings, Firmamento is enjoying a remarkable season, with 54 wins, including 10 stakes victories—two of them at G1 level—despite the injury setbacks of several top performers. Mamina, Gran Muñeca, Santa Inés, and Las Monjitas occupy the next positions on the list.
Among individual horses, Need You Tonight (Hat Trick) leads by total earnings, followed by the outstanding filly Charm (Strategos), the only other runner to surpass 100 million pesos in purses. Trailing them are El Exito (Il Campione), Crazy Talent (Equal Talent), and the exported Coni Fizz (Marconi).
With two months remaining in the 2025 season, the familiar powerhouses of Argentine racing look set to close another memorable year at the top.
