The two remarkable sprinters appear as the top candidates for the Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich

LA PLATA.— Sprinting once again takes center stage at this city's racetrack with the Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich (G3-1,200m, dirt), one of the most important races of each season within the female division.
As usual, the list of participants will be short, with only 5 confirmed, a situation that is now more than just a trend. This is a consequence of the decline in the number of births and the appalling schedules that owners and professionals must deal with, especially concerning winning 3 and 4-year-old specimens, where cancellations are permanent.
The saying "good things, when short, are twice as good" can easily be applied to the Bullrich, where two category leaders like Calle de Tierra (Strategos) and La Meninha (Le Blues) will face off, standing far above the rest in terms of track records.
The former usually runs on the lead, while the latter has mostly found results closing from behind, although in her most recent outing, she gave no ground whatsoever.
Both arrive in top form, adding an extra element to the clash. Calle de Tierra is coming off a 6-length demolition of Texana Rye (Nashville Texan) in the Clásico Santiago Luro over 1,100 meters; La Meninha, for her part, did the same to Tac-Tac (Manipulator) in the Especial Argentaria, leaving her 7 lengths behind while carrying 58 kilos.
The battle is set between the two top candidates, and it remains to be seen if any of the other participants can claim the role of the "third spoiler," although it feels like a debacle from both Calle de Tierra and La Meninha would be necessary for that to happen.
Qué Buena B (Qué Vida Buena) had achieved a couple of consecutive victories before finishing sixth and last, 13 lengths behind La Meninha in the Argentaria, though it is true that more was expected from her.
Meanwhile, Reina Secreta (Víctor Security) and Soy Vagabunda (Vástago Salvaje) venture in with recent conditional defeats, aiming to surprise everyone. However, they will have to improve significantly.
