The daughter of Suggestive Boy is solidifying her status daily among the top fillies and mares at the mile on the main track, a division she already commands

Escolastic Girl’s star continues to rise at the mile on the main track. After gaining valuable experience at La Plata during 2024 and a trip to Maroñas, Uruguay, the Suggestive Boy filly has now firmly established herself at the top among fillies and mares at middle distances over the Palermo dirt.
She kicked off her current streak with a win in her seasonal return in the Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3) at El Bosque, followed by a victory in the Clásico Inés Victorica Roca (G3) at the main track, and most recently she reaffirmed all that promise with a commanding performance in the Clásico Ricardo P. Sauze (G3-1600 m, main track).
Owned by Haras Pozo de Luna but bred by Haras La Esperanza—a curious combination—the chestnut, trained by Team Gaitán at Campo 2 in San Isidro and presented by Nicolás Gaitán, executed her task perfectly. She made her class and ability felt immediately as she assumed firm control from the break against four challengers.
Once in front, jockey Martín La Palma carefully managed her energy, passing the opening 400 meters in a slow 27.43 seconds. Francisco Leandro, aboard the chasing Orpen Rimout (Remote), noticed and challenged wide, pushing the pace to quicken.
After hitting the half-mile in 50.78 seconds, Escolastic Girl began to extend her advantage coming out of the far turn and, once into the stretch, held firmly to the inside. With Orpen Rimout fading, Noche Alta (Hi Happy) launched a late bid to catch the leader, but the effort fell short.
The winner’s finish was impressive, holding off that late charge without much urging from her rider to win by two lengths, while International Look (Cosmic Trigger) was third another two-and-a-half lengths back. The final time was 1:38.70, with a 1:13.77 split for the final 12 furlongs.
This marked Escolastic Girl’s seventh straight win and her fifth consecutive stakes victory at Palermo, adding to her 2024 success in the Orbit Handicap (L) and the Marcos Levalle (G2). Without a doubt, she is a filly of superlative quality.
