International Look Seeks Confirmation in the Clásico Ricardo Sauze

The daughter of Cosmic Trigger is coming off a victory in the Clásico Inés Victorica Roca (G3) and will face stiff competition over the mile

Friday's graded double at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo will be completed by the Clásico Ricardo P. Sauze(G3), a traditional 1,600-meter dirt contest for fillies and mares 4 years old and up. Although it drew a small field, it features several runners capable of putting on a top-level show.

The stage appears ideal for International Look to confirm her impressive current form. After spending a long time alternating very strong performances without being able to convert them into a major victory, the stable representative finally found the ultimate reward by capturing the Clásico Inés Victorica Roca (G3), over the exact same track and trip she faces once again.

That afternoon, the daughter of Cosmic Trigger defeated Paxing (Señor Candy) by 1/2 length, an opponent she will encounter again. The chestnut from Stud La Gringa seems to have fully restored the level that carried her to prominence and will once more figure as a key protagonist right from the break.

On that terrain, she will meet a fiercely consistent rival in Blessed Shine (Honour Devil). After excelling in handicap company, the bay made the leap to stakes level with an exceptionally solid campaign, which includes a victory in the Clásico Jamelao (L) alongside multiple high-profile placings across various venues. In her most recent appearance, she finished second by just a length behind End of Spring (Il Campione) in the Clásico Otelo A. Orlandi (L) at La Plata.

The early pace promises to be intense thanks to the presence of Mis Locuras (Manipulator), arguably the quickest member of the lineup. Her challenge in recent outings has been maintaining that speed all the way to the wire. Using that front-running style, she captured the Clásico Diego White (G3) as a 3-year-old at La Plata and subsequently finished second in the Gran Premio Selección de Potrancas (G1), though she has since struggled to manage her early energy.

Another heavy contender will be Lancara (Manipulator), looking to bounce back following a sub-par effort in the Gran Premio Estrellas Distaff (G1). Prior to that setback, she had returned to the races with a convincing victory in the Clásico Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas SPC (G3), proving that her back class remains fully intact.
