LA PLATA.- Another day with a graded double is set for this Tuesday at El Bosque, continuing the momentum from Palermo on Monday. On one hand, fillies and mares aged 3 and up, carrying weight according to regulations, will clash in the Clásico Maldivas (1500m, dirt), while later in the Handicap Haras La Providencia (1100m), the spotlight will be on horses aged 4 and older with three or more wins to their name.

A tough battle is expected in the Maldivas, where, having paid the price for a layoff, Jin Jin (Full Mast) will try to start making up for lost time. The local Polla de Potrancas (G2) winner last season returned to action after five months out, finishing fourth behind Candy Fy (Fortify) in the Clásico Jockey Club del Perú.

In her path stands Estrella del Día (Il Campione), who celebrated her third win on the Palermo dirt in a tough allowance, decisively defeating seasoned rivals.

Firmamento adds the name Champion Craf (Mastercraftsman), who after defeating none other than Coni Fizz (Marconi) in the Clásico Doria on San Isidro’s turf, ran a solid race in the General Las Heras (G3), finishing fifth to Candlelit (Equal Stripes) on a very demanding course.

The Handicap Haras La Providencia shapes up to be a fierce contest as well, with Cántaros Song (Alcindor, 58 kg) and Don London (Orpen, 57.5 kg) facing off once again after a month apart. They finished in that order, separated by three-quarters of a length, in the Handicap Haras Vacación. Both have raced recently; Cántaros Song underperformed in Palermo, while Don London had a couple of attempts with one conditional victory.

Outside all contenders will be the very experienced Creme de Cassis (Sidney's Candy), carrying top weight of 61.5 kilos, having amassed 10 wins. She hasn’t been seen for nearly three months, exiting with her first unplaced finish in a long time, but where there was plenty of fire…

From post one, Sirirí Morocho (Seize, 55 kg) will break light in weight compared to the others and is very capable of pulling off a surprise.
