The Handicap Haras El Paraíso, the third and final stakes event of Tuesday’s program at the Bosque, presents a highly competitive field for fillies and mares 4 years old and up over 1,100 meters on a heavy dirt track.

Returning from a layoff since December, Joy Traviesa (Fortify, 127 lbs.) makes her comeback after concluding her previous campaign with a victory in the Handicap Borobeta at Palermo, where she defeated quality rivals including A La Vista (Angiolo), Ataka (Señor Candy), and Che Mamita (Safety Check). This outing marks her debut at La Plata, a factor that could pose a challenge.

Boasting significantly more local experience, Maylena (Qué Vida Buena, 133 lbs.) will carry the top weight following a string of impressive performances. A winner of the Especial París Queen, she subsequently finished third in the República de Panamá before securing back-to-back victories in the Handicap Haras Cumeneyén and the Especial Jockey Club del Perú.

Equally formidable is the consistent Empress Life (Legión de Honor, 126 lbs.). Winner of the Especial Ranquelia, she recently placed second in the Haras Carampangue and third in the Argentaria, making her a strong contender for the top spot.

Additionally, Gran Celestial (Il Mercato, 128 lbs.) cannot be overlooked. Her recent form includes a victory in the Especial República de Panamá, a dead-heat for the win with Maylena in the Handicap Haras Cumeneyén, and a strong third-place finish in the Handicap Spiny at Palermo.
