There’s no pause in the pace of Thoroughbred sales in Argentina, and this Monday the momentum continues with the Gran Venta Haras Juan Antonio & Haras Santa María de Araras, where the renowned breeding operations will offer an attractive lineup of broodmares and 2023 foals in a joint virtual session.
Among the highlights are daughters of top sires such as Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer), Easing Along (Storm Cat), Catcher In the Rye (Danehill), Pure Prize (Storm Cat), Wild Event (Wild Again), Hurricane Cat (Storm Cat), Treasure Beach (Galileo), and Lizard Island (Danehill Dancer), in foal to a range of proven and emerging stallions including Backyard Heaven (Tizway), Hiper Happy (Pure Prize), Cosmic Trigger, Bill Bixby Trigger (Cosmic Trigger), Santin (Distorted Humor), and Cool Day (John F Kennedy).
One of the standout offerings is Inca Soleada (Dynamix), a 7-time winner who captured the Clásico Espadaña and the Handicap Juvencia. She is in foal to Backyard Heaven and has already produced Inca de Arteaga (Cosmic Trigger), a stakes-placed 3-year-old. She hails from a prolific female line that includes Inca Noble (Ride the Rails), Gran Mirella(Dabster), and Corona del Inca (Luhuk).
Another notable broodmare is Reina Casada (Long Island Sound), a 4-time winner whose résumé includes the Clásico Doria and Handicap Miss Linda, as well as multiple graded placings. Out of Reinarás Siempre (Equal Stripes), her pedigree features close ties to graded winners like Gran Invasor (Equal Stripes).
Unraced Uncanny Valley (Cosmic Trigger), in foal to Backyard Heaven, is out of Gamuza Fiel (Easing Along), herself a daughter of champion Gamuza Fina (Equal Stripes) and a sister to multiple stakes winners Gamble Rules (Roman Ruler) and Queen Sienna (Fortify).
Fonetic Stripes (Seek Again—Formalizada, by Candy Stripes) is a half-sister to Formalizadita (Freud), who produced G1 winner Nos Dijimos Todo, by Cosmic Trigger, the same sire covering the attractive broodmare now offered.
Also worthy of mention are Its True Type (Yes It’s True), dam of stakes winner Pulpito Corazón (Cosmic Trigger); Tattoum (Lode), a G1 winner herself; and Triumph of Love (Pure Prize), who captured the Especial Juan P. Artigas as a juvenile first-time starter.
