That gave us plenty of confidence," he shared with Daniel Sinegub on the track's closed-circuit broadcast.

The pilot knows the Wilgerbosdrift colorbearer inside out. Beyond driving her in the big event, he was also an integral part of her morning breeze regimen—a factor he admits proved crucial.

"I rode her several times in morning works. She is calm, tractable, and does everything right. She is a very genuine filly," he noted regarding the chestnut, whose continued development earned her a maiden group victory while positioning her among the division leaders.

When asked about the winner's prospective route capability over longer distances, Paoloni remained optimistic, while leaving final plans to her trainer.

"I don't think stretching out in distance will bother her at all, but as far as her future goes, Juan will certainly decide the next steps," he remarked, confident that the winner possesses all the attributes to keep building on her success.

Beyond his individual achievements, the Santa Fe native deferred credit to his daily support system. As is typical among jockeys, he recognized that every trip to the winner's circle relies on a team effort taking shape well before the gates open.

"I am in a good groove right now, and that's what I work for every day, but none of this would be possible without the trust trainers place in me with their horses," he affirmed, dedicating the victory to the team supporting him day in and day out.
