Kelly Rose, a daughter of Il Campione (Chi), will carry top weight as she goes in search of the Trebol sweep in Wednesday’s featured event at San Isidro, a 1400-meter contest on the track’s auxiliary dirt surface

Wednesday’s lengthy and modest card at Hipódromo de San Isidro will be anchored by the Handicap Good Passion, a tribute to the late homebred of Stud San José del Socorro, the talented daughter of Juez de Pan who was a dominant force over middle distances under the care of Juan Carlos Maldotti.
Open to fillies and mares four and up over 1400 meters on the track’s auxiliary dirt course, the feature has drawn a competitive field headed on paper by Kelly Rose, who will carry the top impost of 58 kilos.
The daughter of Il Campione (Chi), to be ridden by Gustavo Calvente, will collect a 50% purse bonus should she win, as she would complete the Trebol—a feat that looks well within reach. Trained by Rodrigo Baglietto, the gray filly has been on a strong run, having held her own in the G2 Fernández Guerrico and G3 General Las Heras, before dropping back to the allowance ranks and romping by five lengths over Forever You (Full Mast) in 1:22.70 for the same trip she'll tackle again, pressing the pace and drawing off convincingly.
Her main rival appears to be the seasoned Jalimba (Señor Candy), who carries 57 kilos and looks to take them all the way. Conditioned by Omar Labanca, she captured the Especial Miss Loren before finishing a close second—beaten only a neck—by Illa Alegre (Sabat Husson) in the Handicap Haras de La Pomme, both races coming at La Plata.
Firmamento will be double-handed in the gate with Champion Craf (Mastercraftsman, 57) for Adrián Reisenauer, and Catch the Bomb (Hit It a Bomb, 55.5), representing Team Gaitán.
A stakes winner over Coni Fizz (Marconi) in the Clásico Doria, Champion Craf was most recently third behind Estrella del Día (Il Campione) and Jin Jin (Full Mast) in the Clásico Maldivas del Bosque, while her stablemate was runner-up by five lengths to Escolastic Girl (Suggestive Boy) in the G3 Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda, also at La Plata.
The field also includes Doña Esperada (Fortify, 53.5), who steps up in class off a solid alternative-level win and could prove a surprise package.
