By The Leopard, in foal to champion Irwin and with Ketiapina (Leofric) at her side, she stood out as the top offering a few days ago

The past week brought strong activity on the sales front, highlighted by Racehorse’s Gran Venta de Yeguas Madre y Destetes, which featured consignments from leading operations such as El Alfalfar, Garabo, Tres Jotas, Doña Panchaand Esece, among others.
Topping the session was Key Secreta, a daughter of The Leopard consigned from a diverse group of breeders and ultimately secured by Diego Arozamena, acting on commission, for a final bid of $7,100.
Unraced, the 15-year-old bay mare has already produced Trivina Key (Perfectperformance), a two-time winner at Palermo. She was offered in foal to champion Irwin (Seek Again), with a last cover dated September 24, 2025, and accompanied by a filly at foot by Leofric (Candy Ride), named Ketiapina.
Key Secreta is a half-sister to G2 winner Key Dance (Freud), as well as stakes-placed performers Keidar (Catcher In the Rye) and Kalimba (Freud), the latter the dam of stakes winner Keylor (Violence) in Chile. The female family remains highly active, featuring names such as champion Kiriaki (Catcher In the Rye) and graded winners Vida Amorosa (Safety Check), Full Keid (Full Mast), Kiriel (Orpen) and Kandara (Catcher In the Rye), among others.
The second-highest price was recorded by Joy Tanguera (Fortify), consigned by Haras Garabo and in foal to the promising Mutasaabeq (Into Mischief), due to foal in October. She was purchased by Haras Los Seis for $6,000.
With just a single start at three at San Isidro, the 5-year-old bay is expecting her second foal, having produced a colt by Mask in 2025. Out of Mireya (Mutakddim), Joy Tanguera hails from the family of G1 winners Equal Miler (Equal Stripes), Wild Stream (Boboman) and Mister Marco (Go Forth), as well as recent G2 Clásico Luro winner Muy Macho Win (Gershwin).
Completing the top three was Felicidad Pass (Distinctiv Passion), sold barren and offered with her 2025 filly Idolatrada Song (Alcindor) at foot. Stakes-placed at two at Palermo from just three starts and consigned by Haras El Alfalfar, she is a half-sister to stakes-placed runners Bruma Song (Alcindor) and Mundo Tierno (Global Hunter), from the family of champion Llorón Cat (Easing Along) and the outstanding Tristeza Cat (Easing Along). Arozamena, again acting on commission, signed the final ticket at $5,600.
