Taking advantage of the conditions, the daughter of Le Blues won from wire to wire and by 7 lengths over

LA PLATA.- As often happens in the current model of "especiales," the best horses take advantage of uneven conditions to rack up victories. It happened Wednesday with Unico Happy (Hi Happy) in the Craganour at San Isidro, and history repeated itself Thursday at the local racetrack, with La Meninha "showed off" for the money to take the Argentaria(1200 m), the main event of the day, which was run on a heavy dirt track.

But, as the saying goes, don't blame the pig... so nothing should be held against the daughter of Le Blues; instead, one must reaffirm the high regard she has always deserved after a seamless performance without much effort.

Carrying 58 kilos, the homebred from Haras Tres Jotas didn't even have to resort to her usual tactic of running from behind; it was enough for her to take the lead practically from the start, coasting to the finish line without setbacks and crossing it with a 7-length gap over Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 54), with Empress Life (Legión de Honor, 56) finishing in third place another length back, all in an interesting time—considering the track conditions—of 1m11s74/100, with partials of 23s83/100 and 48s10/100.

Four years old and weighing nearly 500 kilos, La Meninha is a true specialist in speed with a turn, allowing Tres Jotasto dominate both sexes within the division here, as they also defend the colors of El Resero Con Capa (Angiolo), the number 1 among the males.

The bay's record now shows 7 victories in 16 starts, with earnings exceeding 50,000,000 pesos—very little, considering all she has achieved and that she has never run in a conditional race.

La Meninha had already won the Clásico Fortunato Damiani (G3), Eusonio C. Boni (L), Miss Terrible, Asociación Cooperativa de Criadores de Caballos de SPC—twice—and the Especial Apertura, in addition to many placings at the graded level.

With her performance, the mare—presented by Felipe Arone but trained by Arnaldo Vigil (currently suspended)—punched her ticket back to the classics.
