LA PLATA.- The round of "especiales" will continue this afternoon at the city's racetrack with the Argentaria, scheduled over 1200 meters for mares 3 years old and up under a weight-for-wins scale.

Such a scenario favors La Meninha (Le Blues, 58 kg.), who returns to one of her favorite distances after trying her luck in the 1400 meters of the Clásico Lucio Taborda (G3), where she finished as the runner-up, 2 lengths behind Bachata Queen (Storm Embrujado).

A multiple graded stakes winner, the homebred from Tres Jotas will face demanding rivals, such as Empress Life(Legión de Honor, 56), who won the Especial Ranquelia before falling to Doña Chila (Peten Itza) in the Especial Haras Carampangue, confirming her good form.

After several races in which she started at a disadvantage, High Rimout (Remote, 56) straightened her path in the Especial Paris Queen, where she fought until the last moment before yielding by just half a neck to Maylena (Qué Vida Buena). If she has definitively overcome those issues, she will be very tough to beat.

Coming from the allowance ranks is Que Buena B (Qué Vida Buena, 54), with 4 wins in 7 starts, the most recent by 4 lengths and clocking under a minute for the local kilometer. She receives some weight advantage over the favorites, but it remains to be seen if the step up in category affects her.

Fresh from being the runner-up to City Land (Lizard Island) in the Especial República de Paraguay, Queen's Reward(Grand Reward, 52) has the advantage of carrying a light weight, and Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 52) is one of those names that should never be written off.
