Haras La Nora will hold its total dispersal of the 2024 foal crop this Monday, featuring a high-impact roster. The catalog includes yearlings by established sires such as Fortify (Distorted Humor), Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), and Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), alongside the highly anticipated first crops of Mutasaabeq (Into Mischief), Dr. Post (Quality Road), and Ivar (Agnes Gold).

The auction, conducted by Racehorse, begins at 6:00 p.m. following a 5:30 p.m. inspection. In a significant incentive for buyers, La Nora will once again raffle a trip to the Breeders' Cup—to be held this season at the iconic Keeneland—among all successful bidders.

With the yearlings named after musical bands, Cold Play (Fortify) is a standout attraction. He is the third foal out of the accomplished Doña Trufa (Orpen), a multiple handicap winner and full sister to stakes winner Don Trueque, hailing from a foundation Haras San Benito family.

Equally promising is Dire Straits (Equal Stripes), out of Volki Rye (Catcher In the Rye). This pedigree traces back to the elite Vacación line of Voodoo, which has recently produced Group 1 stars Edict (Il Campione), Atómica Oro (Orpen), and Hat Valor (Hat Trick). Other highlights include Mazzy Star (Mutasaabeq), a half-sister to stakes winner El Ernesto; Babyshambless (Mutasaabeq), a half-sister to G1 winner Mama Nanzy; and Pussycat Dolls, from the first crop of the champion Ivar and out of Puga (Easing Along), a half-sister to the excellent Portal del Alto (Malibu Moon).
