Few products and many stakes are an impossible cocktail to mix; the race was rescheduled for Tuesday, March 11, but the problems are starting

LA PLATA (Special for Turf Diario).- A bad signal, although expected, was given this Monday by the racetrack of this city with the cancellation of the Clásico Agustín B. Gambier (G3-1200 m, dirt), a step within the selective process for 2-year-old colts that was to be run on Thursday the 5th of next month.
That race had only 7 entries, and it was scheduled to be run just over a week after this afternoon's Clásico Criadores Argentinos del Sangre Pura de Carrera (L) —which will have 4 contenders— in a bit of programming nonsense. The cocktail of few products and many stakes is more evident than ever.
The fillies, meanwhile, had better luck with the Clásico Derli A. Gómez (G3), a memory of the unforgettable trainer, which was confirmed for Tuesday, March 3, with 8 ratified. Fortunately, the Clásico Arturo A. Bullrich (G3-1200 m), for mares 3 years old and up, was also scheduled for Thursday the 5th and was another of the survivors.
Regarding the Derli Gómez, almost half were declared forfeit, and there the undefeated Gota Clara Sos, coming off a win in the Clásico Amilcar A. Mercader (L), will defend that title and her early leadership. The daughter of Made You Look will face: Achispada (Have At It), Beni Lara (El Benicio), Mayan Goddess (Made You Look), Ojitos Tristes(Mootasadir), Propicia Vega (Niceto Vega), Salema (Il Mercato), and Se Cruzan (Manipulator). The card will begin at 3:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m., consisting of a total of 11 intermediate-level competitions.
Given the cancellation of the Gambier, the Bullrich will be the center of the other meeting in the circus of the eucaliptos, repeating a constant in stakes races these days: a low number of contenders. There will be 5 sprinters in the starting gates in this case, with a list that saw no fewer than 8 withdrawals from the original. Thus, Calle de Tierra (Strategos), La Meninha (Le Blues), Qué Buena B. (Qué Vida Buena), Reina Secreta (Victor Security), and Soy Vagabunda(Vástago Salvaje) will fight for victory.
The final program for Thursday the 5th will have 12 races, starting at 3:00 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m., offering little else in the context of the allowance races. Either Argentine turf adapts to the current times —as it should have happened a long time ago...— or the stakes will become fewer and of lower quality.
