LA PLATA.- The upcoming two programs at the racetrack in this city have been finalized, scheduled for Tuesday, July 14th, and Thursday, July 16th. Each card will consist of 10 races, showing a slight improvement in field sizes compared to previous weeks following the announcement that the alternative racing category has been suspended—at least for now—meaning all contests will award full purses.

As previously announced, the Clásico Miguel Luis Morales (G2, 1,600m), open to juvenile fillies and the traditional prep for the Clásico Polla de Potrancas (G2), was rescheduled due to a low number of original entries and will now be run on Tuesday, July 21st.

Regarding the upcoming Tuesday card, the headline event will be the Clásico Otelo A. Orlandi (L), contested over 1,600 meters on the dirt for fillies and mares 4-year-olds and upward under weight-for-age conditions.

From the 15 original nominees, eight runners were confirmed at the entry box: Blessed Shine (Honour Devil), End of Spring (Il Campione), Guadilú (Señor Candy), City Land (Lizard Island), Godess (Valid Stripes), La Banda (Fortify), Tiffany Breakfast (Japan), and Upends (Imperatore).

On Thursday, July 16th, the spotlight shifts to the Clásico Juan Vucetich, a 1,200-meter sprint for 4-year-olds and upward, also run under weight-for-age terms. The contest saw a massive wave of defections, with 15 of the 24 initial entries opting out.

Consequently, the local speedster El Resero Con Capa (Angiolo) will defend his status as La Plata's top sprinter against a field comprising Valdobbio (Hit It a Bomb), Vespaciano (Daniel Boone), Oro Azteca (Empire Aztec), Let Me Dance (Le Blues), Hit It a Bou (Hit It a Bomb), Only for John (John F Kennedy), Al Fin llegué (Southern Cat), and Foggy Champ (Il Campione).

Tuesday's card will kick off at 2:30 p.m. and wrap up at 7:00 p.m., mirroring the exact time frame scheduled for Thursday's program.

Furthermore, the racing committee has already announced that for the meetings on July 21st and July 23rd, all competitions will continue to be run under the standard purse structure, once again omitting any alternative racing categories.
