La Plata: Stud Book Argentino, Boquín, and Pellegrini, the stakes races to come

Entries were taken for the upcoming two race programs at the southern venue, featuring 3 can't-miss stakes races along the way

LA PLATA.— An action-packed week featuring multiple stakes races lies ahead at the local racetrack, with the highlight scheduled for Tuesday, September 8. That afternoon, route horses will take another stepping stone toward the Gran Premio Dardo Rocha (G1) in the Clásico Stud Book Argentino (L-2,200 m, dirt), while 3-year-olds clash in the sprinting ranks with the trophy of the Clásico José M. Boquín (L-1,200 m, dirt) on the line.
In the former event, open to horses 4 years old and up, 19 potential runners have been nominated, setting the stage for a possible rematch between Nassau (Forge) and Sono Perfetto (Tetaze), who come off a thrilling down-to-the-wire finish in the Clásico Federación Argentina de Jockey Clubes e Hipódromos. Adorado Rim (Remote), Amuni (Tetaze), Don Champagne (Long Island Sound), El Darwin (Il Campione), and Mister Coquette (Bodemeister) also feature on the preliminary list, which is rounded out by: El Estanciero (Fire Slam), Jangadero (Gouverneur Morris), Kico de Triomphe (Cima de Triomphe), Le Quotidien (Le Ken), Luk Texano (Nashville Texan), Nevada Top (Puerto Escondido), Sea of Blue (Orpen), Tifón Moi (El Moisés), Trovatto (Remote), Will Sound (Long Island Sound), Zuma Boy (Seahenge), and Brasilero Francisco (Lizard Island).
In the Boquín, meanwhile, 15 horses were entered, including Cadiz (Strategos) and Joy Conquistador (Roman Joy). Arc Village (Angiolo), Celtic Win (Gershwin), Gluck Scat (Knockout), Go Dancing Go (Suggestive Boy), Jorginho(Seek Again), Lo Más de Sandino (Sandino Ruler), Lobito de Mar (Il Mercato), Miguelito Vic (Mask), Sensei(Storm Embrujado), Shiawase (Lucullan), Zorro Continental (Very Continental), Full My (Full Mast), and Socio Gerente (Seize) complete the line-up.
On Thursday, September 10, attention turns to the Clásico Carlos Pellegrini (1,100 m, dirt) for horses 4 years old and up, where 14 runners were nominated: Arcanum (Horse Greeley), Cacal Island (Lizard Island), Idiala Edition (Equal Edition), Last Word (Le Blues), Le Bird (Lucky Island), Marc Vessel (Marconi), Masky (Mask), Redentor Scat(Knockout), Rodo (Flowing Rye), The Beast Party (In the Dark), Valdobbio (Hit It a Bomb), Vendaval Joy (Roman Joy), Vespaciano (Daniel Boone), and Yukon Jack (Remote).
Final scratchings and jockey assignments will be received, as usual, until Monday at 11:00 AM.
