This Wednesday, Haras La Providencia will host its Gran Venta Anual 2025 at the Tattersall of Haras La Pasión, with the latter acting as guest consignor in what will also mark the debut of Blacktype Bloodstock Sales as organizer of the prestigious auction.

Renowned for producing champions such as Hi Happy (Pure Prize), Freddy (Roy), Ollagua (Pure Prize), and Lingote de Oro (Orpen), the Brazilian-backed operation owned by the Depieri family will roll out a stellar lineup that includes yearlings by the likes of Il Campione (Scat Daddy), Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie), Fortify (Roar), Cityscape (Selkirk), Hi HappyTreasure Beach (Galileo), Angiolo (Grand Reward), Daniel Boone (Wild Event), Full Mast (Mizzen Mast), Springdom (Sebi Halo), Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), as well as some of the first crops of King Guillermo (Uncle Mo) and Village King (Campanologist).

La Pasión will contribute a strong consignment of its own, featuring several offspring of Gouverneur Morris(Constitution), a breakout sire among first-crop stallions, and Il Mercato (Not for Sale), the 2018 Horse of the Year.

A notable aspect of the sale will be La Providencia’s unique offering of “yunta” pairs: buyers will select one horse from a duo presented in the ring, while the farm retains the other. It’s also worth noting that all colts in the draft will be up for sale.

One of the sale's major highlights is Gingado (Fortify), a maternal half-brother to Giustino (Full Mast), recent winner of the 2024 G1 Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos. He will be offered in a yunta with Rickard (Cityscape), out of G1-placed Rima Bella (Include) and a full brother to G1-placed Rihallah (Cityscape).

Another standout duo is composed of Hi Unico and Hi Ulan (both by Hi Happy). The former is a full brother to Unico Happy, winner of both the G1 Gran Criterium and G1 Joaquín V. González, while the latter is a sibling to graded stakes winners Great Spirit (Drosselmeyer) and Atomic Heights (Courtier).

Among the most eye-catching individuals is Future Mo, a son of top international sire Uncle Mo and the first foal out of the imported Fuddled (Invincible Spirit), from the family of G1 winner Ask for the Moon (Dr. Fong).

From the first crop of King Guillermo comes Konnor, out of Korea (Southern Halo), making him a maternal brother to G1 champion Kononkop (Pure Prize), G2 winner and proven sire Koller (Orpen), and Kokola (Orpen), dam of G2 winner Kodiak Boy (Treasure Beach).

Additional top offerings include:

  • Jin Jing (Il Campione), a half-brother to G2 winner Jin Jin (Full Mast)

  • Litoral Sur (King Guillermo), out of the classic-placed Little Gem (Pure Prize)

  • Kona Ice (Treasure Beach), a full brother to Kodiak Boy

  • Bavarian Moon (Angiolo), out of classic winner Bavarian Girl (Zensational)

  • Shy Dominicana (Il Mercato), out of the stakes-winning Shy Cubana (Violence)

  • Gunakai (King Guillermo), a sibling to classic winner Guiltless (Full Mast)

  • Sitsi (Daniel Boone), brother to classic-placed Sibenik (Full Mast)

  • Princess Simona (Il Mercato), half-sister to G3 winner Príncipe Yon (Sabayón)

  • Hi Sixtina (Hi Happy), out of G2 winner Siembra Azul (El Sembrador) and half to both Simbora (Cityscape, G3) and stakes winner Sigurd (Treasure Beach)

The auction is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., following an on-site preview starting at noon.
