The juvenile division took center stage Sunday at Palermo, and the rising stars did not disappoint as the first major tests of the Argentine season loom. While The Great Terms (The Great Day) and Desert Voice (Dabster) battled out a thriller in the G3 Clasico Pedro E. y Manuel A. Crespo, two-year-olds Live Your Life and Colorado del Monte stamped themselves as serious Classic contenders with dominant maiden-breaking performances.

For the Al Adiyaat-Juan Saldivia-Juan C. Noriega triumvirate, the afternoon began on a high note when Live Your Life(Dabster) romped in the Premio Malenchini over a heavy dirt mile. Following a runner-up effort on debut, the chestnut filly turned the 1500-meter test into a procession, drawing off with authority to score by seven lengths in 1:33.05. Bred by Al Adiyaat, she boasts an international pedigree; her dam, Raihana (Elusive Quality), won the L-UAE Oaks and ran second against males in the G2 UAE Derby at Meydan.

On the colts' side, Colorado del Monte (Strategos) enjoyed a perfect unveiling in the Premio Hyperloop. Representing Stud Facundito and trainer Nicolas Martin Ferro, the colt went wire-to-wire under Gustavo Calvente, repelling early pressure before holding off Paulo Sil (Treasure Beach) by 1 1/2 lengths. Bred by Haras El Paraiso, the son of Strategos stopped the clock in 1:33.27 and now targets the G1 Gran Premio Montevideo on May 1st.
