The talented son of Le Blues secured a commanding three-length victory in the Clásico Isidoro Aramburu (G3), firmly cementing his status as one of the definitive leading contenders for the upcoming opening leg of the local Triple Crown

LA PLATA.— It did not take Los Llanos long to exact sweet revenge for his defeat a few weeks ago at the hands of Fletcher (Gershwin) in the Clásico Pedro Goenaga (G2). The talented son of Le Blues swiftly reclaimed his leadership status within the sophomore colt division at the Bosque, delivering an authoritative performance this Sunday to capture the Clásico Isidoro Aramburu (G3), contested over 1,600 meters on a fast dirt track, while securely locking down a privileged spot on the road to the upcoming Polla de Potrillos (G3).

Facing a demanding lineup that featured several rivals shipping in from the major metropolitan tracks, the Stud Araci'srepresentative once again responded with absolute solidity, fully validating the brilliant impressions left by his previous graded stakes scores in the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera de Buenos Aires (G3) and the Clásico Luis María Doyhenard (G3).

The victory also added another spectacular chapter to the extraordinary season being enjoyed by trainer Marcelo Sueldo and jockey Gonzalo Borda, who sit comfortably atop the La Plata standings and continue to enjoy a phenomenal run of form with the stable’s young talent.

The tactical battle saw Montaldo (Uncle Chuck) dictate the tempo right from the break, closely shadowed by his paternal half-brother Teobaldo, while Los Llanos bided his time with patience, traveling smoothly in third and progressively closing the gap as the field approached the far turn.

As the field straightened into the home stretch, Teobaldo managed to forge past Montaldo, briefly fueling hopes for his connections. However, that illusion was short-lived. Launching a powerful bid down the center of the track, Los Llanos quickened with devastating authority, sweeping past the leaders to immediately establish a clear advantage.

At the wire, the grandson of Master of Hounds maintained a commanding three-length margin over Teobaldo, while El Pirata (Il Campione) completed the trifecta finishing just a cinch behind the runner-up, securing a highly valuable 1-3 finish for the Marcelo Sueldo stable. Fatigued by his early front-running exertions, Montaldo faded to cross the line in fifth. The teletimer stopped at a very sharp 1:36.56 for the mile distance.

Bred by the powerhouse Haras El Paraíso, Los Llanos continues to effortlessly handle every new challenge presented by the progressive stretch-out in distance, entering the second half of the season firmly established as one of the definitive benchmarks of his generation.

With the Triple Corona now looming large on the horizon, Los Llanos sent a definitive warning to his division: he will be a primary force to be reckoned with on the classic trail that is just getting underway.
