OCEANPORT, New Jersey (Special for Turf Diario).- One of Argentina’s standout juvenile fillies during the first half of 2024, Maggie Go is set to make her U.S. debut this Saturday at Monmouth Park in the GIII Eatontown S., a 1 1/16-mile turf contest offering a purse of $150,000.

Now campaigned by Michael DubbAndrew RosenJohn D. Stuart, and Michael J. Caruso, the daughter of Winning Prize (Arg) will be saddled by Chad Brown and partnered with Flavien Prat, forming one of the most formidable trainer-jockey pairings in the country.

Bred in Argentina by Haras Porta Pía and Horacio Espósito, Maggie Go has not raced since June 28 of last year, when she closed out her 2-year-old campaign with a runner-up finish behind Quita Rim (Arg) in the G1 Estrellas Juvenile Fillies. Her record also includes a win in the G2 Clásico Eliseo Ramírez, a second-place effort in the G2 Saturnino J. Unzué, and a third in the G1 Gran Premio de Potrancas.

Morning-line odds list her as the 8-5 favorite, and she arrives stateside with a strong string of workouts under her belt.

Her chief rival appears to be Five Towns (GB), by Lord Kanaloa, to be ridden by Argentine jockey Jorge Ruiz Díaz for trainer Graham Motion. The bay filly exits a fourth-place finish in the G2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile S. and previously annexed the Listed Dahlia S. at Laurel Park.

Another leading contender is Ozara (Ire), a daughter of Lope de Vega trained by Miguel Clement. A multiple stakes winner at Gulfstream Park, she captured the Listed Monroe S. in April, adding to prior scores in the Ginger Brew S. and the Wait a While S.

Brown will also saddle Whiskey Decision (Into Mischief), looking to rebound from a trio of subpar efforts following her breakout win in the Listed Christiana S. at Delaware Park.

Lady Firefoot (Temple City)Delightful Ava (Bucchero), and Damaso (Outwork) round out the field for the Eatontown, a race that has previously seen South American winners such as Flor de Sombra (Chi) in 1971, Reciclada (Chi) in 2000, and Brunilda (Arg) in 2005.
