The Colts Recorded Their First Wins Over 1,100 Meters on Dirt in the Optional Claiming Division

In an unusual Thursday card, Hipódromo de San Isidro kept the local turf wheel turning, though beyond the Clásico Etoile (L), there were few standout stories. Midweek races in the alternative program continue to provide support for the northern track, and this time was no exception.
In the optional claiming division for three-year-old fillies without a win, over 1,000 meters on dirt in the Premio Water Level, Marc Nemo (Marconi–Nemmesis, by Exchange Rate) debuted with a win for the successful team of José C. Blanco and Martín Valle. The gray colt produced an impressive rally, recovering from a poor break, steadily gaining ground, and swinging wide in the stretch to catch Last Társico (Társico) near the finish, prevailing by a length in 1:05.40.
Shortly afterward in the same division, Little Easy (So Easy–Strana Bellezza, by Intérprete) advanced from fifth at his debut to record a decisive first victory. Ridden by Luciano Recuero for trainer Eduardo J. Bello, the colt stayed close to the leader, gained control on the inside, and gradually drew clear to defeat Joy Divino (Fortify) by 1 1/2 lengths in 1:03.86, a notably faster time than Marc Nemo’s.
Another front-runner on the card was Paso Nevado (Hi Happy–Pleasant Pacific, by Stormy Atlantic, Haras Santa Inés), who bounced back to capture the Premio Doña Jalea (1,200 m, dirt) for five-year-olds and up with two prior wins in the alternative division. Trained by Pablo Chioccarelli and representing Stud Wishbone, he defeated Bendito Ali (Seahenge) by two lengths in 1:11.31 under Francisco Leandro, comfortably fulfilling favoritism.
Paso Nevado has long been regarded as a horse of significant potential, beginning his career in Las Monjitas colors and even finishing second to Epityrum (Portal del Alto) in the Gran Premio 2000 Guineas (G1). After a setback due to injury, he is now looking to regain confidence and continue producing strong results.
