A magnificent trio of stakes races awaits at the corner of Avenida del Libertador and Dorrego on the holiday, featuring the Clásico Ignacio e Ignacio F. Correas (G2), the Clásico Diamond Jubilee (L), and the Clásico Guillermo Paats (L)

On the upcoming holiday Friday, Hipódromo de Palermo will offer plenty of reasons to be the center of attention, aiming to draw massive crowds to its grandstands and heavy handle through the betting windows.

The racetrack will feature a magnificent triple-header of stakes events, headlined by the Clásico Ignacio, Ignacio F. e Ignacio Correas (G2), contested over 2,500 meters on the dirt for fillies and mares 4-year-olds and upward; the Clásico Diamond Jubilee (L), a 1,000-meter dirt sprint for 4-year-olds and upward; and the Clásico Guillermo Paats (L), also over 1,000 meters on the dirt, open to 3-year-olds.

Among the long-distance mares, Grade 1 winner Martana (Fortify) emerges as a rock-solid candidate, especially following the defection of fellow top-flight winner Cannolina (South Kissing). On her quest, the Santa Inés homegrown filly will face graded stakes winner Portal Maya (Portal del Alto), Angelic Champ (Cima de Triomphe), Che Samaritana (Vástago Salvaje), Doña Lucila (Equal Talent), Foggy of Song (Sixties Song), Master Jane (Mastercraftsman), and Remoulina (Remote).

Meanwhile, the Diamond Jubilee confirmed the presence of one of the two most outstanding sprinters currently in training, El Epecuén (Il Campione), who is coming off a brilliant triumph in the Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G1) on May 1st. His rivals for this occasion will be A La Vista (Angiolo), Aires de Gloria (Angiolo), Claro Bombón (Claro Oscuro), En Un Rincón (Manipulator), La Combatiente (Le Blues), La Farce (Emmanuel), Lyon (Lenovo), and Peso Argentino (Le Blues).

The Clásico Guillermo Paats saw no defections from its original entry list, meaning the juvenile line-up will feature Aspiring Artist (Angiolo), Nissos (Il Campione), Telegram (Sovereign), Thomas Shelby (Uncle Chuck), and Water Waster (Made You Look).

Looking ahead to the upcoming Monday card on July 13th at Palermo, the main attraction will be the Handicap Pensilvania, contested over 1,600 meters on the turf for 4-year-old and upward mares with previous victories, a contest that saw nine defections from its initial list.

The top weight of 57 1/2 kilos was assigned to Moon's Destiny (Orpen), who will clash against Una Gloria (Treasure Beach, 50), Fontanela (Lucullan, 52), Timberlay (Portal del Alto, 53), Splash Park (Safety Check, 53 1/2), Esperanza Eterna (Il Campione, 51 1/2), and Resilincia Holiday (Cosmic Trigger, 56).

For both racing fixtures, the management has scheduled significant guaranteed pools and betting increments across the wagering menu.
