The Fortify filly, runner-up in both the Criadores and Las Estrellas, looks for revenge in the race where she finished third a year ago

While the conditional races on Monday at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo appear modest, the stakes events promise a high-quality showcase. The fillies tackling distance open the program with the Clásico Chile (G2, 2200m, dirt), followed later by the males in an unmissable edition of the Clásico Italia (G3, 2000m, dirt), analyzed separately.
With six confirmations, the Chile stands out with Martana (Fortify) as the main contender, seeking revenge for the third-place finish she earned in this very race a year ago. Winner of the Clásico Bullrich (G2), the Santa Inés homebred went on to finish second in both the G1 Gran Premio Criadores and G1 Estrellas Distaff, displaying enviable consistency at Palermo.
Martana faces a stiff challenge from Poker Mommy (Daddy Long Legs), one of the top fillies of her generation and winner of the G2 Francisco J. Beazley.
The gray filly Risible (Orpen) represents the Roberto Bullrich team and arrives in form after a solid conditional victory, defeating Contrast (Safety Check) by 2 1/2 lengths on turf, though she has also shown ability on dirt.
Emma Novela (Emmanuel) finished a neck ahead of Poker Mommy in the Handicap Mouchette, and just 3/4 length behind Miss Talento (Equal Talent), reflecting her steady progress.
Rounding out the field are Presencial (Suggestive Boy), another promising filly from Coco, third in the Clásico La Mission (G2), and La Guernica (Il Campione), representing Juan Saldivia’s team with two consecutive wins at La Plata.
This lineup sets the stage for a highly competitive renewal of the Clásico Chile, showcasing some of the best middle-distance fillies in Argentina.
